Another great result, but not a great performance (but that just doesn't matter).

Great little cameo from Hungbo, he's showing some promise in the few short appearances he's made.

Considering we had two wingers playing in central midfield that wasn't too bad at all. I felt it may have got a little to easy around 60 minutes and we naturally dropped down a gear or two which subsequently resulted in us being a sloppy. The team selection was good, admittedly I was not sure about JP playing centrally but then after 15/20 minutes I thought it made absolute sense considering his ability to drop in the holes and his close control. No idea how the Forest wing back didn't get a yellow card Sarr done him every time. I was right about Murray he hardly touched the ball and he was never going to get much from Siarelta. Great to see Hungbo again he looked really impressive looks like he could give Sarr a run for his money in a sprint race and put in a brilliant ball at the end. Zinckernagel was good again I thought he worked really hard defensively and he was good with the ball, I thought Forest struggled to deal.with him in the first half just becaue of the positions he was picking up. The Sanchez lad didn't look too bad done the right things at the right time and we looked a bit more comfortable with him on the pitch.

Onwards and upwards, both Wycombe and Forest have shown us there are no easy games in this division, Cardiff will be a different proposition, but after the run we have had you have to be confident we could go there and get something!

Positives: Hungbo was exciting and refreshing to see an academy player come on like that.

The three S’s were great again, especially first half. Sema and Sarr obviously need a rest now.

Sierralta just eases my defensive worries substantially. It’s like having Khal Drogo in defense.

Zinc also worth a mention. Really thought he did a job.

Negatives: Troost is worrying to the point where it needs calling out.

I want to like him but he just looks so off the pace.

Very happy with that. I had a nervousness before kickoff. It was not as easy or comfortable as it should have been. Gray’s miss was a real shocker.

Hungbo and Sanchez did not let us down. With players coming back, this win could be a massive psychological boost. I mentioned earlier in the season we lookout joyless. That doesn’t appear to be the case now.

Hughes, and I’m like a broken record, is immense. Zinc showed some great promise of his worth. Success coming on can only be another bonus.

Troost does concern me, as does Bachmann when he has a split second decision to make.

I would hope that Xisco working hard to encourage and create the feel good factor, as well as working on tactics and fitness. That is so crucial to us continuing our push. A belief and togetherness within the squad would be a major plus.

Overall, we can feel positive and we are hell in the mix.

And despite me using it as a stick to beat Gino with. No wonder Murray couldn’t get in the team, makes Deeney look like a prime Vieri in contrast.

It was a lot to ask for him to get anything out of the best defender in the Championship. El Gaucho's pockets are positively bulging with the amount of centre forwards he has in them.

I did think he was their best player and played the ball forward more often than he did with us. But United fans are utter *****, they do this every game.

After his brief appearance against Man Utd you predicted that with "what he has" he'll light get a career in the lower tiers (lack of maturity, plus a load of other negatives. I suggested that you wait until you see more of him before making a judgement as I thought he showed real promise.

What's your view now, still lower tier?

Good result. Result over performance needed today but we should’ve had more after the first 30 with Sarr having Bong on toast.

Sarr/Sema need a break. Please don’t get called up for international duty. Xisco needs to manage games better.
Hughes with an understated performance but important as the only CM on our side.

Give em a few days off to recover.

Sanchez seemed to be playing the game from memory.

If his remit is to be a 10-15min end of game player then I feel he'll be important.

Pretty leftfield line up and some knackered players so great to come away with the points. Biggest plus for me today apart from the victory was not reverting back to caveman 442, would've been a big step backwards. Unless Swansea win all 3 games in hand they r gonna b well within striking distance. Realistically though the season will hinge on whether we can improve our record against the top 7.

That win now means it's impossible for Wycombe to finish above us. Baby steps and all that.

He's certainly talented with loads of potential. When he's motivated (as he was today) he looks quite good. TBF, he was likely helped going against a lot of players not playing positions where they feel comfortable - especially defending. For example, Pedro defends like the striker he is. I was certain he was going to go double-yellow. No ill will against Garner, hope he does well.

It's games like this that reminds you how dog **** this league is, 19 year old striker and winger in central midfield and we still win.

Hungbo looks a good prospect, hope he gets some extended game time at some point.

Sierralta is class, one of the few PL quality players we have IMO.

Pedro actually looked quite good in that position in the first half.

Zinc is going to be very good when he's fully settled.

No concerns about ending Garner's loan early after today, he's a very average mid table Championship midfielder at the moment.

I thought he had a few bright moments winning them free kicks, but was generally anonymous against a striker, winger and a bloke who hasn't played in over a year

I have to say I was concerned about Garner being recalled with the lack of options in midfield, but I didn't think he'd be pocketed by our striker and winger lol

Thought it was poor how he turned his back on Masina's shot, even though it never got more than 6" above the ground, and it was his deflection that probably put the keeper off.

Agreed. If he was, they'd be playing him themselves. They just glory hunters who can't abide anyone not raving about one of their kids. They're the kinds of people you wanted to pound into the mud with your bare hands at your kids' youth games.

Absolutely delighted with that, these two home games back to back were always going to be banana skins bursting at the seams in the midfield, but we've got 6 points from them, and now, perhaps most crucially of all, a little break before what will be a very difficult game away at Cardiff

The Man Utd fans are just weird, when you look at a lot of their tweets responding to Watford fans they often go on about him being only 19, completely missing the fact we’ve got our own 19 year old whose never played in English football who has made a significantly bigger impact. They also miss the fact our record since he went isn’t exactly bad is it. I don’t understand what they believe the motive would be for any fan of club who has loaned a player to be saying a player isn’t very good, if in fact they’re actually performing brilliantly?

There's no problem with thinking the players should be fit enough, but when they're underperforming and clearly tired like Sema has been in the last few games then you should ask questions of Xisco. He had Ngakia, Wilmot, Perica and Success on the bench, plenty there to make changes with. We've got a brutal run in so I'd rather he considered making the most of his 5 subs, especially in games like Wednesday night when it was the perfect chance to give players a breather in the second half vs Wycombe.

Not to mention, Garner asked away, we didn't offer to return him until he did. He wasn't going to play ahead of Hughes, Cleverley or Chalobah. We could made him stay, but that could have left us with a sulky player and shut off any future loans from ManU. Not worth it.

Thought he looked like he did for us. One or two nice touches, but too light weight and far too easily dispossessed.

Only one of those can even pretend to play Sema's position. And that one hadn't played a first team minute in a year - until today.

You judge on what you see. I watched him in the u23 and did not see anything out of the ordinary. Credit where credit is due he has upped his game. One does not have a crystal ball to see the future. People make judgements on the evidence they see at the time. This forum has a bizarre number of individuals calling people out for statements they made with honesty seeing what they had seen at the time.

He may continue to progress as I suspect we all hope he does or his novelty value may wear off. He may not be able to adapt his game further. We just don't know yet but his two cameos have showed promise.
