Hungbo looks like a great prospect. Would be happy for him to be given more time against Cardiff and give Sema some rest.

    Forest were sh*t.

Still hate it when we play the ball around on the edge of our area at 1-0 with no conviction, always waiting for the brain fart and 1-1.

Midfield lost some control second half which wasn't too surprising due to the absentees and yellows picked up in the game. But got the win so job done.

Negatives: shyte keeper, gray, clueless **** on the sidelines, manatleisure

Huge result. Credit to Xisco for that. Our subs bench looked pitiful, even compared to Forest's. Bachmann and Troost worry me. Alot. Gray is still terrible. No injuries (hopefully). Job done.

Credit Xisco with the substitutes today. We stopped inviting unnecessary pressure on us at the end with it. Would have made them sooner but can't complain.

Sanchez was a pleasant surprise with his competence. Did what he should do and didn't over extend himself. Hungbo exceeded expectations again and should have an assist. Success did as we expected he would and helped see it out.

Overall given our depleted midfield that was very good.

Big 3 points, even better to get them when not playing at our best and with key players missing and others playing out of position.

First 30mins or so we played well but ran out of spark after that. No surprise after an intense few weeks of football.

17th clean sheet of the season. Sanchez and Success getting minutes on the pitch. Hungbo looked bright and positive again when he came on.

Well deserved week break now before a big game next Saturday away to Cardiff.

Into the automatic places , and we can sit and watch the other results come in. Happy Saturday.

Great first thirty minutes. Average and then after the Gray miss allowed Forest to come into it. But the aim is to win ugly atthis stage of the season.

Gray should have buried his chance, Zinckernagel another opportunity. Sierralta imperious. Pleased wit Sanchez and his control in midfield. Looked assured if a bit off the pace understandably. My highlight was Hungbo. Skinned the right back twice looked calm and won a corner and if Sarr had anticipated better provided a peach of a low cross. Very well done to the young lad. Always pleasing to see someone come in from the reserves and look an asset. Also pleasing to see Success. If he can get focused and fit he is a very useful weapon.

Another clean sheet, three points and a chance to rest and also bring in some of the injured. Chabs fully rested again.

    Another excellent cameo from Hungbo:

We always seem to make hard work of games when it looks like our attack should be capable of finishing games.

That said, credit to Xisco and the whole team for 3 points when our midfield has been decimated. JP and Zinckernagel clearly not especially comfortable in the middle there, JP in particular was trying too much in his own half. But we’ll have Chalobah back by next Saturday and hopefully Gosling too, while Sanchez will also be closer to match fitness.

Andre Gray went straight back to being useless. How did he miss the ball entirely from Femenía’s cross in the second half?

Sarr and Sema look shot. They each need a game or two’s rest but we just can’t replace them. Another good cameo from Hungbo, I like the look of him, but not sure yet he could do a job in place of one of those 2.

Now to watch our rivals hopefully fall apart and it’ll be a cracking weekend.

Made very hard work of it but it was a patched up midfield and some players are dead on their feet, great win.

Struggling to understand why Xisco refuses to bring off players who are clearly knackered. Luckily we have a week off now but it's been noticable recently with Sarr, Kiko and Sema all looking very tired in the second half of games.

Mainly positives. Xisco has done well there with the squad available.

Sanchez looked ok for his half hour.

Hungbo looked good for his 15 minutes

Success did his trademark hold off the defender and win a foul by falling over in his 5 minutes.

I hope if we don’t go up we get to keep Pedro for at least one more season. He’s got a great attitude and talent to match it.

Glass half empty says we made that much more difficult for ourselves than we should have..

Glass half full says who cares, we won!

Glass half empty says our most attacking line-up of the season and we end up only scoring once..through a defender..

Glass half full says who cares who scores, as long as we do!

Glass half empty says we look knackered...glass half full says who cares, we have a week off playing now.

Glass half empty says Munoz took his time making substitutions today..glass half full says who cares, coz when he did he got them right and Hungbo in particular looked excellent when he came on.

Glass half empty says a scrappy win, glass half full says a win is a win, another clean sheet banked, three more points and the gauntlet thrown down to our rivals as they prepare to kick off.

And whatever our various shades of glasses may be telling us right now, the league table says SECOND!

We remain right in the mix and by hook or by crook, deservedly or luckily, splendidly or by scrapping we are winning matches right now (that’s 6 out of 7) and I for now am a very happy Hornet today :)

Hungbo looks like he has some potential. Would be nice for the Pozzos to finally break their homegrown player duck. He should start against Rotherham or Birmingham.

Good result considering the injuries and a imagination free coach. Not a surprised Zinc and JP got bookings after being found out. Hughes pretty subdued. Hopefully the week off will help.

Sanchez came on and did what was needed, 20 odd minutes. Hopefully that is thank you and goodbye.

Isaac back and looking trim. Felt like a bit of a dream seeing him and Sarr on the same pitch. He'll score the goal that secures our promotion.

Credit to Xisco for adapting and to the players who worked their socks off.
If Gray had a left foot to kick with and not to tattoo it would have spared our collective blood pressure.
Hungbo did well again and Sanchez was very, dare I say it, neat and tidy?!

Well done. Fantastic win. Seeing as we were beyond the bare bones in midfield, to have won that match was a brilliant outcome.

I thought we'd lose for sure. Too many bad omens leading up to the game. Moss was not a b*****d for once. He actually did ok. I thought Bong should have been booked though for repeatedly fouling Sarr, but then again Pedro could have gone for a silly trip in the second half. Maybe we should have had a penalty but that would have been a bit fortunate.

Relieved to see Taylor was offside, as that would have been a typical Watford sickener. 87th minute result changing goal, but it WAS offside, so I'm obviously pleased it was ruled out.

Gray should have sealed the game, but he went back to his normal ways with another miskick. A collectors item finish from Masina. A bit lucky it squeezed through the keepers legs.

We should have made the game safer, but it's all about results. We've won every game I predicted we'd have to win in this run. Now were second, and Brentford HAVE TO win their game in hand. That puts pressure on them.

Now we have a week off. I'm delighted and can enjoy the rest of the weekend and hopefully Swansea will slip up today.

I thought a Hughton side would be better/much harder to break down and genuinely saw this as much harder game and potential banana skin.

They weren’t that hard to break down at all and we could’ve scored a few more if we really wanted.

Second half we made hard work of it but got away with it.

I'll take that. Played some great stuff first half and had to dig in second half. I am not surprised with the midfield having so many out - but let's be honest Hungbo looks awesome! Def. one for the future. Pedro did well in a position that is not really tailored to him. Gray should of scored - come on Andre' we thought you were the main man again! Thankfully did not cost us two points. Defense did it's job, Forest are a very stable side so they were up for it. Soooo glad Murray did not score, was dreading an equalizer from a Knockart cross... who btw is still a play acting little twerp - never liked him, especially since that fake dive in the PO in 2014.

Glad we won - it was vital especially with Brenford's game off. Swansea have to win now (I have jinxed it haven't I)? But we go three clear - let's keep this form up and hopefully when Chabolah comes back in we can give Cardiff a real go. Nice goal from Masina, smart finish. Xisco looked like a pre-school teacher, but the boys won't get extra homework tonight. Credit to Forest, decent side and I do not feel they will slip back into danger. Hughton has them well drilled an organized. Oh, we actually had a poor record against Forest at the Vic before today, so nice to put the Hoodoo to rest as well. Sorry I had to leave the Shout Box, before the game even started lol. We can enjoy our weekend now and boo our promotion rivals. Serrialta again... got to be up for PotS alongside Kiko and Hughes.

Sarr paces himself well I think though he definitely needs a rest. Sema showed real hunger to close down late one and real energy. Gray should have anticipated better and come across his marker to connect with his stronger foot. He also lacked anticipation even while he scored twice against Wycombe. He needs to improve that in training. Practice the situation.

    PS Come on Boro. :D

Hungbo looked good because by that point nobody else was breaking out into a jog and at that point nobody else wanted the ball.

We look so good when we play attacking positive players in an attacking formation with attacking intent and carry the ball forward. We look pisspoor when we pass sidewards or backwards and pass the buck to the player behind you.

    3 points. Come on Boro.

If Gray kept his concentration, it would be seen as an easy win.

We, as usual, didn’t put the game to bed, and inevitably became leggy (especially our midfield) in the second half, especially following their subs.

Sanchez then came on and despite a few iffy passes solidified the midfield, whilst Hungbo pinned back their wing back and relieved the pressure.

Overall a very good Championship win, and having a week until the next game will be invaluable for resting tired legs and allowing players to recover from injury.

I thought WTE played well, equal with Sierralta with a couple of important headers and carrying it far better on home turf out from the back. His only real mistake was the offside goal. Also, no coincidence when Gray went quiet we started to look worse as well. He did a lot of good pulling the defenders around making space for Sarr and Sema despite his miss.

I think it's because he knows he doesn't ve near the quality on the bench. A knackered Sarr still draws a defender. Also, a bunch of youngsters are likely to panic without some older heads out there.

Besides... we need to decide what we really think. There's never been any shortage of us on this forum talking about how it's the job of these multimillion puond show ponies to play 90 minutes twice a week. Which is it? The manager is an idiot for leaving them on, or they need to do their jobs, get fit and play on?

    Under Munoz..

    Played 15

    Won 10
    Drawn 2
    Lost 3

    Scored 23
    Conceded 9

    Games we didn't score 3
    Games we didn’t concede 9

Maybe, just maybe, it’s not a case of him being the person who won the lottery to manage us, but us being the ones who won the lottery when we plucked him from near obscurity to re-ignite our faltering promotion campaign.

Next week will be almost his biggest test so far against a side on a long unbeaten run who’ve already beaten us at the Vic.

    Bring it on!
