Would rather it was at Elland Road. Still never been there (annoyingly missed the opportunities in the previous seasons) and we have a better recent record against them at theirs than at ours

Ok I can confirm this will be our first ever FA Cup tie with Leeds.

The closest we got was the semi final in 87 when we drew Spurs and Leeds played Civentry.

No we havent ever drawn Leeds in the FA Cup.. three times in the League cup. The first ever meeting between the clubs was the 4-0 League cup away win in 1984.

PS It didnt take long for us to become over confident of beating lesser teams did it! Just like what used to wind us up no end when directed at us in the past.

Don't want to be all negative etc and yes this is a good draw for us but the over confidence and dare I say arrogance worries me a tad. We are putting ourselves up to be shot down. I can still hear their chant of we're only here to spoil your party in my mind. Let's get the job done first.

Both clubs have been in the competition for over a 100 years & never met until now. Strange but true!

    Will he be allowed in?

In fairness it doesn't matter what we think. I doubt Quique is planning on putting out a wfcforums.com XI.

He's been accused in the past of being a racist & but never of being a Muslim. Of course he'll be allowed in.

Leeds seem to be on television a lot when they are the away side (in league games at least) ......

Brilliant tie for us. Proper fans back at The Vic, they'll completely sell out and will make more noise than all the Prem teams this season put together.

A good amount of all Prem ties and little chance of being on TV, good stuff.

After the Heathrow incident following 9/11, I doubt any MLS team would take him.

Excellent draw. Winnable and not another boring PL team. Glad it's a home game too as without that game, due to work commitments, my next home game would have been Villa in April!

Good point, I'd forgotten about that! You're right, they might let him in but I'm not sure any MLS side would want him

(It's amazing how many little "incidents" JT's been involved in over the years!)

Some good stories being lined up for Round 5..

Can Terry do what Gerrard failed to do last season and actually win the Cup in his final season in English football.

Adebayor makes a quick return to White Hart Lane.

Will their replay with Liverpool be the last ever cup match at Upton Park?

Will Arsenal knock Hull out for the 3rd year in a row.

If Spurs are still paying a % of his wages, will he play though?

Good point. I can't see why not, as he's not on loan or anything.

Are we sure he's not though (effectively)? Do Spurs still hold his registration?

Palace fans seem to think he can play.

Spurs play in the Europa on the Thursday before so it won't be a Saturday fixture

    Pleased with that.

Being selfish I hope it's moved to the Friday as I'm due to tutor all weekend, doubt it though as probably Shrewsbury,Man City... how many games will they show?

Even though the TV producers love Leeds doubt our game will be moved.

In that case Spuds must have just paid off the remainder of their % & released him. Fair enough.

Should really beat this crock of sh1te, they are terrible. Probably the 3rd best draw we could have got in terms of progressing, would have loved Shrewsbury away really.

    Happy with that draw.

Not over confident, but definitely confident of a safe passage through to the quarters.

No real shocks thus far, and with Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, Spurs, United, Liverpool and Everton still in it, it will be very tough to break our barren spell of never winning a major domestic trophy. Who knows though, favourable draw in this round. There's also bound to be a shock or two in this round, so could see a few of the big guns go out. One of Chelsea or City will be gone!

It's nice to have a decent cup run again!
