Look at that bench. Every single player on it would walk into our team. They could play their worst possible options in every position and they'd still be infinitely better than us man for man. As I said in a different thread, if the club has needed a massive clear out for years how come last season was probably the second most successful season we have ever had. At some point a a club our size would struggle and go down so Nath would be right at some point

I've just watched Arsenal v man city. We have somewhere between no chance and even less chance against these two.

Well we'd need our attackers to put on them. Sarr and Welbeck might be able to but Deeney won't. They will have pace up front regardless of who plays (Sala,Pepe etc) so our back like will be exposed.
Sarr hasn't been the same player since the restart and Welbeck has just scored the overhead. And Deeney has one in open play I think. So they are as good or as bad as each other whichever way you wanna look at it.
City look a bit leggy and distracted. If we can hold out for at least 30 minutes we could actually have a chance of grinding them down. In reality though we are likely to get smashed.
IIRC, we’ve not so much as got a point against Citeh since we got promoted. Surely that has to end one day? Our big problem is that without Deulofeu we have no one who can hold onto the ball for more than two touches. It means that the pressure will be relentless. So we will get something one day, but it seems unlikely this time even given Citeh’s inevitable weariness and distraction.

We all know are playing badly and even if we do stay up now we'd surely go down next season without drastic change. We all know there's some sort of toxicity within the club that Pearson hasn't been able to penetrate despite early promise. This is not the first time recently you've hoped we lose. Finally a more reasoned view. The vast majority of people clearly love being where we are, they are just not loud enough voices on a football forum. So disregard anyone else's view that doesn't align to mine. COYH!!!
We do have players who can hold onto the ball, they just never get a game as the tactic appears to be smash it long to Deeney or Sarr and hope something happens. Wet Spam was an ideal game for us to spoil the game, pack the midfield with players able to hold onto the ball and ask them to Jurrado style sideways and backwards. From side to side and back and side to side and back.... take all the pace out of the game. Waste time from minute one. A point was all we needed. We have 5 subs, if we still ended up behind we could have changed half the team into plan B. QSF would have got us the point we needed.
