Transfer Deadline Day.............

Is just a few hours away, and there are still some pretty good players out there that are up for grabs. I'm don't think they all qualify as home-grown, which I would imagine would be the type we might target, but how about this lot: -

1. Luciano Becchio, apparently Norwich want to off load him; I don't think he qualifies as home-grown, but I certainly would not say no to him.

2. Marc Albrighton, Villa want to loan him out, yes please.

3. David Nugent, has a £2.5m get out clause at Leicester; not everyone's cup of tea, but could be a great foil for Deeney?

4. Barry Bannan, Villa are willing to let him go, and Palace want him, so that alone is reason for us to go in for him, but he is a strong midfielder too.

5. Cameron Jerome, could be available from Stoke?

6. Peter Odemwingie, could be available from WBA at reasonable price.

These are just some of the players I think we could realistically look at, some might be a little expensive, but worth it IMO.

 

David Nugent is a ****, it's a no from me.

 

We will no sign no-one from any other club apart from Udinese or Granada. We may get a loan in, but that's it.

 

None of those players will join us. In fact, I'd be surprised if we signed anyone else at all. The powers that be are quite happy with the squad, my sauces advise me.

If Bannan were actually available, I'd definitely take him.

 

Though we've signed a lot of good players from udinese and Grenada, I do feel that it would be worth bringing in some British grit. I would like to have some signings that are a bit more streetwise when it comes to the championship. Having some more experience would be very good for this squad this season IMO.

 

I don't think any of those players except perhaps Odemwhingebag would improve us.

I personally just think we need to adapt our system to suit our attacking players.

I want a genuine loan from Villa

 

As Smudger says, Albrighton would be a great player to land, but sadly as the formation doesn't fit, I doubt it'll happen.

 

Bannan certainly isn't a big beast, he is more of Jack Russell Terrier, but he would do a good job in central MF, he is surplus to requirements at Villa and wanted by Hollowhead, which is more than enough reason for us to try and nick him.

 

If we sign Barry Bannan, Cristian should put in a transfer request.

A similar player I agree, but he is qualified home-grown, which although I don't agree with the rule, it gives Bannan the edge.

 

Odemwingie has been strongly linked with us.

 

We need a Graeme le Saux and Luther type player and dare I say a Paul Ince type.

To add some mindless speculation, Villas-Boas said they'll be loaning out some players tomorrow. Therefore I have concluded that Carroll and Fryers are joining Watford.

 

we'll be brining in at least one forward, which will allow one of our youngsters to complete his loan to a league 2 club

Obviously neither will happen but whatever.
