Why should it be re named?
Its been called the Red Lion all its life and certainly hasnt just moved opposite the ground.
Exactly whats going to be achieved by changing its name?

If you read my original post guy's, I am only asking the question, and although I did make some suggestions for an alternative, I did not say it should necessarily be re-named

Apologies my arse.

VOR makes suggestions for re naming the pub. By assocciation he therefore implies that his preference would be to see the Red Lion re named.

Those that dont want the pub re named gave good reason as to why not and then there were a handfull who made some very witty remarks.

Yeah sure.. by showing my support of trying to find a solution for the Red Lion site then of course i am suggesting that i have all the answers and can organise finance for it.
Just like everyone who bemoans the club the finances (you included) have the know how to set the club back on a sound financial footing.. or the financial clout to solve all the problems.

PS I would also like to the club being in a position to sort out the East Stand reconstruction..
Blimey... i'd better get saving!

Oh and the one thing that truly puzzles me on message boards is how people who DON'T LIKE a thread feel it is appropriate to post half a dozen posts on it despite the fact they don't like it??!?!

Surely if you don't like a thread or POSTS on it either CREATE a thread of their own they think is MORE interesting or go and do something else* and stop BORING the arses off of those who ARE interested.

* I have a suggestion but it is very very rude so I won't bother

Anyway.. ive changed me mind about the Red Lion now.
I think they should just knock the bloody thing down..save us having to endlessly discuss what they're going to do with it!

In its place i want to see a 30 storey apartment building. I will occupy the top floor which will have a balcony overlooking the pitch.
When they are playing ***** i will turn my deckchair round and watch the telly!

The first paragraph says..

'Watford FC plan to re-open the Red Lion pub in Vicarage Road as a sports bar before Christmas, but it will probably undergo a major revamp.'
