If you emailed them 2 hours after ordering it would be very unlikely that they would have processed your order and put the lettering on, so you would likely have a good case. Whether they admit as much is another thing, mind. Besides, they may have received and acted on the email!
Kids shirts come up small, my boy's 3, nearly 4 and the 5/6 shirt fits perfect. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Mightn't be anything on ebay at the minute but I'd keep an eye on it. A few years ago I got our white top (plain white, not the WW1 top) for a fiver on ebay, still in the packaging, at the end of the season.
Clive the service that you wanted is below standard and it's right that you should have had someone get back to you, I suggest that you contact Richard Walker he's usually on the ball. richard.walker@watfordfc.com
Tuck it in his shorts. I hated the way Hoddle and half the Spurs team had their shirts hanging out in the early 80s
When i were a lad.. the best kids at football on our estate were always the ones wearing brothers cast off kit 4 sizes too big & plimsolls with holes in the toe. These days they are moaning if they havent got 100 quid boots and the latest player name on their shirts with league patches on. Worlds gone soft.
Haha, fond memories! Being the youngest of 10, I had plenty of hand me downs. Had a cool Ben Sherman around the time of the mod/ska revival though! Conversely, I looked a bit of a (unt going out on a Saturday night in my sister's dress!
Just contact the main switch board at the club and explain all this to them, I'm sure they could either put you through or pass the message on to the shop.
Because it's personalised you have no return rights under the distance selling regulations. I'd not worry about it if I were you there's nothing you can do now. 1 it'll turn up the original size and we satisfactory or a bit big. 2 It'll turn up the corrected size and be fine or too small. 3 It's in the back of this Yodel van and now ruined.
Certainly is.. best football scene yet put to film ! "We'll be Spurs.. so there's no colour clash"
You probably should have bought a plain one, tried it on then returned it (under the distance selling regulations), and then re-order with the name on.
In the past 5 years I've always oversized for my lad, he's not a big lad but I've found by buying for him the next size up fits well. Remember the kids need layers as they like to have the shirt on top. Keep with what you got it will be fine hopefully.
Thanks - there's still nothing at all from them in response to my email. We'll just have to see what comes. One way or the other he'll get a shirt and get properly indoctrinated. He's the best part of the way there already. Hopefully I'll get to take him to a game some time. But plenty more saving needed before that happens!
I'd actually recommend getting the size up, I normally wear medium but mine is large and fits well, certainly wouldn't want it any smaller. If I were you I would try to get the larger one, but to be honest I doubt the differences are too big for sizes that small anyway!
Well it has arrived! I never got a reply to my email, so I'm not sure what size they sent, but I can see what you meant by small! It says 24/26 on the label, so not sure what that means. However if that's the age 7/8 shirt then I'm glad they sent that rather than the 5/6 one! Last football session before Xmas for 4Cyclones was on Thursday night. They were doing that exercise where they chuck the ball out and one yellow and one red bib have to battle for it and then try and score. 4Cyclones was up against some big blond lad - a sort of under-7s Colin West. They battled for the ball and my lad gave it some shoulder. You know, protecting the ball like I've shown him and this other lad collapses onto the ground and bursts into tears. As 4Cyclones is off slotting it into the corner, Junior Colin is walking off towards his dad bawling his eyes out. "HE PUSHED ME! HE PUSHED ME!" he wailed. "Who did?" said the dad. "That BLACK guy!" he said.... Ha ha ha ha etc.
