Last thing we need is another slow coach who appears unfit most of the time though.

Probably appears so because he never plays, and when he does, is continually put in the wrong position?

I'm not his biggest fan but I reckon I'd put in more effort than Sordell is currently.

Again, I'm going to go against the popular view and give my honest opinion. I like Marvin, he young, raw and extremely talented. I've seen the negative posts on him here and have watched him closely in the last few games, and I have to be straight with you all and say I don't see it myself. What I've seen is striker who's natural game seems to be prowling around like a big cat hunting it's prey, then a sudden and surprising burst of speed and energy to catch out the defence. That's what I saw working alongside DG last season, and that's what I see this season, except DG isn't there anymore, and nor is the supply from midfield, yet everyone seems to be singling out Marvin for abuse? I know there was one moment on Saturday when he didn't make the pass, (yes, one moment), but lets be honest, the best strikers are selfish b*ggers.

I have to say, props to Sordell after he wasted that chance after his run.

He did something I've never seen him do, which is challenge for a ball. He actually jumped for a header, and looked like he wanted to win the ball, instead of standing about with his hands in his pockets, waiting for someone else to make something happen.

I think Sordell will gradually realise that work ethic is just as important as natural talent, which is why DG, Shane Long and such are now playing in the Premiershyte, while your Chopras are still here in this division.

Sordell being lazy is the least of our problems. He does make runs, as does Garner, but they never get a single ball through to them. Even if DG was still here, he wouldn't have scored more than a handful of goals either with our pathetic 'creativity'.

Correct. I understand people's frustrations, but let's face it, the whole team is dire and set up to fail at the moment.

Unlike some others, I genuinely believe that the players we have in the squad are more than good enough to survive in this league, even to surprise people. That is credit to Dyche, perhaps for signing most of them, but that's where the credit ends, because he's hampering the whole side, new and old players, by setting up a side to draw every game.

Once Dyhce is move on and someone more astute takes the reigns, we'll see the real Sordell, along with improvements in Garner, Yeates, Hogg and others.

The weak link here is the manager. It's not Sordell, it's not Forsyth, it's not Emu. It's Dyche. You can replace some or all of the others with no profit. Sordell will be key to our turnaround once Dyche is gone and I still back him to bang in 15 goals once we stop playing such turgid filth.

Apart from his superb reading of the game which meant that he was always in the right place, his strong tackling and his sensible passing, obviously.

Let's be fair he played 81 minutes 4 days ago? And from people who watched the game he worked his socks off, this is the first time he's had to balance this work-load so i reckon fatigue has something to do with it and Dyche just plays him so he hopefully turns and shoots one in.

For me Marvin is clearly below his best form, for what ever reason. I think he should be taken out of the firing line & totally agree that Deeney be given a decent run in the position he had played before he joined us, not out wide.

The trouble is that Dyche won't do this, he is getting too predictable & players have lost their edge & he clearly can not motivate them.

We appear to be in a similar situation to Liverpool under Hodgson, I just hope we can find our own Dalgleish that gives the players we have the confidence & self belief to play football. Clearly not what is happening now.

I do like Dyche, but as each game goes by he looks worse & worse to me at managing a side

    Spot on moogy, agree 100%.

We have a good squad of good players who are more than good enough to finish lower mid table at least. Dyche signed good players but seems to have no idea how to set up a football team.

Yes he would. I've not seen Sordell or Garner run the channels yet, Graham used to do it all the time. Watch the two of them next time we play, they make the exact same central runs. That's why our lack of creativity has nothing to pass to. One striker needs to be wide if we're going to play a 4-4-2, regardless of whether it's hoofball or not.

I've been thinking the exact same thing. Sordell rarely played the way he is now expected to play, graham ran the channels and sordell was the one picking up things from around the edge of the box on many occasions

However, i disagree there isn't enough wide movement from the strikers. For me is more about timing and communication, or lack of. Sordell and Garner seem to make either the same runs into each other or left miles apart . Sordell drifts wide quite a few times but even then wants to get the ball and turn more than run onto a ball.

Our attack has been very disjointed for some time with only couple of sparks each game of their capability. I really hate this attack on sordell being labeled lazy. He's being asked to play a different role than before, with a fairly new attacking front line i wouldnt be surprised hes frustrated and struggling to adapt. fans only seem happy with players aimlessly chasing down every ball than playing in their natural position

How many clear cut chances has sordell had this season? probably less than he has goals. He's not out of form, he just hasn't had any chances.

Team has created a hatful of chances!! Lad is not playing well, head is in the wrong place and needs to realise he is not gauranteed a spot. Leave him out, play Emu and Garner. Deeney deserves a chance!!

I agree we did at the start of the season but in recent games?

Out of those other 3 I'd only rate Garner as a real threat to the opposition goal.

Last few games we have created less chances. But having said that, against Southampton we had 3/4 good chances and against Palace again had 3/4 that we should look to tuck away.

Hogg and Eustace lack creativity, but are necessary. 5 across the middle with the 2 wings constantly supporting a front man would work better. Allows a strong centre and some width, but Sordell on his own wouldn't work. Would prefer Emu/Garner in that situation.

Still want to see Bauben given a chance!!

Unfortunately I did. Garner's post one was a good chance. There was the Eustace 'shot' (although it was tame) and we had a couple of crosses from Forstyh/Kightly. Disappointing, but at the beginning of the season we were creating plenty of chances!

Garner made his own chance out of nothing and Yeates had one speculative effort, other than that I dont think we had a credible chance on goal

Richard Johnson was the best midfielder I ever saw put on a Watford shirt. The usual legends were before my time. Johnno was 'my' midfielder. Plus he bought me a double vodka redbull on my birthday once. On the condition I didn't tell the Watford Observer that the whole team was out and Charlie Miller was out sparko in Destiny nightclub. On Christmas Eve.

    Crikey etc.

I guess there is still an element in society who like to look down their noses at all young non-white males as 'rudeboys'

They are young, successful, confident and rich yet they are called 'flash and arrogant' by middle Englanders like yourself.

Whilst overweight chavs with a history of prostitute and drug use like Rooney and Ricky Hatton are lauded as national heroes

me , middle englander? you couldnt be more wrong , let me tell you what i consider flash and arrogant pal....ashley cole , driving his bentley on his phone ,and when told by his agent that Arsenal were only offering 60k a week , he nearly swerved off the road and swore , in his own words (extracts from his book serialised by some rag)

plus the fact he cheats on his wife , so how is Rooney any worse than him ?
