The fact their manager has said this, it’s just a matter a time before he leaves Hibs for someone else other than Watford/Udinese.

Been told we have in fact made a contract offer, so by the sounds of it we’re trying to wait out till summer. Imagine Udinese come in to play if Competition comes in and a fee is needed in Jan

 

Would we need to pay a tribunal fee if we get him on a free? I was thinking (not pretending to be as ITK as you for a second mind you!) that wangling our way out of that might be why 'Udinese' are interested in him

 

Don’t think so as he’ll be over the age of 24. Besides, Italy and England have the same status vis a vis Scottish football, no?

 

Lol no pretending on my part, just have a friend at the club who sends me the odd text saying things he’s heard and I pass on as I know people are interested. Worth noting my friend is not high up in the club or anything like that, however he has been right on a number of occasions.

 

That actually sounds fairly sensible.

Id love a centre back in, but it is probably the position we are presently least in need of (although that is more a criticism of the rest of the squad than a comment on the state of our CBs)

They're not saying that they don't pretend to be ITK, as you pretend to be, they're just highlighting the fact that they're not claiming to be ITK, as they believe you to be, at all - merely conjecturing based on their own thoughts, rather than 'reporting' or passing on anything from any kind of source!

This is only relevant if it's another loan from Udinese. Hause replacement, obviously, and that would be our last loan unless we send somebody else back.

 

The usuals all said that bloke from Derby would end up here. Obviously didn’t happen.

 

Maybe the plan with him is to train him at Udinese for 6 months, then send him here in the summer as a Cathcart replacement if we're still stuck in the Championship?

 

Appears we are looking to end Hause's loan early and bring in a replacement, left footed CB.... Assuming we are interested in Porteous (be it via Udinese). He is not the Hause replacement as he is right footed, which is potentially good news that we are trying (or perceived to be trying) to bring in CBs.

 

Porteous is the centre forward replacement.

 

Can't be worse than Bayo.

With the expected news that Pollock is going to Exeter on loan and Hause going back to Villa (which has to happen if we are getting Araújo on loan). Also with Kabs still out injured, surely now that means we're getting Porteous?

 

Why does Hause have to go back for us to get Araujo?

 

We currently have 5 players on loan, which I believe is the limit you are allowed. If we bring in Araujo on loan that makes 6, if my maths is correct, so one will have to go. Hause is clearly the one we'd like to return, or else it gets messy with switching Kamara back or reversing the Martins deal (which I doubt is possible now).

 

5 is only the match day squad limit so we can keep Hause if we had to and just not put him in squads (not much issue when he's injured every game anyway!).
