True, was just hoping they may have warned that if rioting continues tonight more forceful police action will take place.

BREAKING NEWS In the last hour several shop windows have been smashed in West Bromwich. Up to 200 youths in hoodies have been seen on the streets and police have now pushed the crowd to one side.

Its about time to get out the live bullets.

We have put up with this for long enough. This cannot just be allowed to go on indefinitely.

I hope this is the end of the namby pamby, softly softly PC crap.

Rubber bullets would be fine, enough damage to stop people in their tracks but not to kill.

    Typical.

They'll play the race card all day long, CCTV and everything is hard proof that the huge majority of the rioters/looters are Black youths.

I wonder what Nick Griffin and the BNP are thinking of all this.

Agreed. Just allow the riot police to use rubber bullets. The little creatures will know all about it when they get hit with a few of them.

I don't agree with the Met announcing that they have drafted in officer's from different forces around London for tonight as it potentially leaves the outer boroughs exposed.

The problem the police face is that due to this being a world wide news story the police have to treat the riots in an ethical and fair way, unfortunately.

Herts police have already announced they've sent officers to London and back here is now key staff.

The problem is what if a large group of scumbags try it here where there is only key staff. I'd rather have more officer's here than fewer.

Looks like the police will be able to use baton rounds for the first time in England.

    Damn right Smithy.

Its incredibly tedious to see the hand-wringers not being able to say that it is mainly black kids doing this in London.

It is not all black kids of course, but most are and that is a serious problem. It is because they are black that the situation was treated with such kid gloves in the first place. If it had been a student 'protest' or a protest against bankers or whatever, people would have been crushed pretty convincingly.

I feel sorry for the millions of honest, good black people who are going to be the ones who suffer an enormous racial fallout as a result of these kids. A black bloke rang up the radio last night saying that he couldn't believe the lengths people were going to to avoid saying that it is mainly black kids, and that by avoiding that issue it will never be resolved.

I fear that we will see a 'tough on crime' extreme right suddenly gain massive popularity in the very near future.

Anyone see the man who was arrested after the 85 riots on Sky news earlier? Very true what he was saying.

The guy with the pacemaker? Yeah, felt so sorry for him.

And the reason why he was so remorseful for his part in the '85 riots? He went to prison for 11 years!!

I will eat my hat if a single person involved in these goes to prison for 11 years. All this PC, liberal 'oh we must reform them, give them carpets and TVs' should be thrown in the failed policy bin and forgotten about.

    :dismay:

Afterall like you say the majority mean well and do good things but this will highlight the thuggish few.

Its not just a bit of trouble over a couple of hours either...

Is it scum moving around from place to place by train or car, saying because main Ruislip is not the kind of place you would expect things to flare up.

Yeah agreed. These guys won't be punished. They'll get scared of upsetting people.
Hundreds of people not even bothering to cover their faces. Hopefully they'll get the majority of them but I can't see it happening

It seems your source was wrong:

    http://www.ipcc.gov.uk/news/Pages/pr_090811_dugganupdate.aspx

He was not shot in the face. I'm pretty sure in time we'll find out the illegal gun - trademark gangster shooter that type - is forensically linked to him too. No mention of handcuffing.

The rumours are just making this worse. Some people are really wallowing in the drama of it all.

Just drove through Harrow, was quite normal. Just about half the shops were shut.

I thought the same.. until a big group of teenagers with their faces covered up ran past my house. I haven't seen any violence yet, but I think its a matter of time. (Bletchley, Milton Keynes).

If more of this happened round the country the scum would find themselves completely outnumbered and have no choice but to back off. It's one thing the police telling them go away, it's quite another when the locals come out and tell you.

Further to my last message it HAS kicked off in Bletchley. A Coral broken into and cars damaged. This is from a Police Officer!

If anyone here lives in MK, avoid Bletchley. Although you probably do anyway!

Either that or you'll have pitched battles kick off throughout the country instead. Nice one Birdy, like it, like it.

Outside the One Bell the hot spot. Very large group abusing police and talking of rioting. Getting very tense.
