This looks every bit the first friendly of the summer.

Dreadful stuff, interspersed with brief glimpses of quality. It’s what I’d imagine professional footballers playing drunk would look like. The mind wants what the body can’t give.

Except Stefano Okrapa. He’s always this useless.

 

Decent half. Some questions still unanswered, but there is one doubt that has been truly cleared in my mind. My boo boy will definitely be Massina this season. Does not dissapoint to dissapoint.

Hopefully Holebas picks up an injury in pre season so I can spend the next 9 months running down to the front of The Rookery to boo and hiss him out of my club.

Okaka really is an awful signing. Cost a bundle and got a 5 year contract. Over successive windows zero clubs will take him except Udinese and now we are trying to get something out of him again. Shambolic fitness levels. Roll on 2021 when we can cut him lose.

So no sign of Deeney - thank god, probably to save us all the cringing of having to watch him try and run around while still carrying his standard summer load.

Sema is actually looking a bit less clumsy than usual. He might be one of the players to have actually slimmed down a bit/got more agile again.
