A guy that I've been banging on for some time now, Andre Carrillo, with a hell of a lot of potential, could be going to Muff. He is genuinely amazing and we need a right winger like him (well I presume we need a right winger seeing as we're going for right wingers). If he does go to Muff, that means two things- we could feasibly get him (he's on the cheap) and Muff will have three quality right wingers in Ritchie, Iturbe and Carrillo. Wtf?!
Carrillo has huge potential to improve although he's good enough now to make a massive difference to our side.
Not to rain on the Carrillo parade however his stats aren't that impressive: Career in Portugal Games played: 109 Goals: 11 (average of 1 goal per 10 games) Assists 28 (1 assist every 4 games) This in a considerably weaker league. Also Muff apparently bid £9m for him.
Available on a free in the summer I believe, yes, he's class. But he'll go to a better team than us I fear.
Few rumours on Twitter that we're after Sarabia from Getafe. We were linked with him last window and he's out of contract this summer.
More of a Jurado type player though, not sure that's what we're after. Could see it happening in the summer maybe.
If QSF is keen to bring him in eventually, & it just so happens that he's available now, as long as there's room in the squad why not do it.
Yeah his overall stats aren't great but he's come leaps and bounds last season. In the Portuguese league alone last season he scored 5 and assisted 15 times. Not bad stats to have at all. Whether he's just flash in the pan or not is another thing and unfortunately we can't use this season's stats to try to prove that. He is out of contract in the summer but Sporting are adamant to sell him now and get some money for him whilst they can. He probably has had plenty of offers and I've been tracking rumours of roughly £3-5m. This £9m bid has come out from relative nowhere given the other bids that were rumoured to being proposed. Better clubs than us and Muff will be in for him but if they have actually bid for him then I would like us to as well, especially as we seemingly are going for a right winger
