You don’t think the players should have any criticism thrown their way after losing 0-8 and being 0-5 down after 25 minutes? Ludicrous. No wonder the players are so indifferent and have so little professional pride with attitudes like this.
I think an 8-O score line isn’t too bad when you think we were playing with nine men all game, Kiko & Holebas contributed absolutely nothing. Add a flapping, ageing keeper and two central defenders constantly out jumped by munchkins into the mix, I don’t think we did half bad. Good work, lads. Keep it up!
It’s subjective. For example I think Femenia is a gutless coward. To someone so easily pleased like yourself that is probably termed abuse. I think it’s a valid critique of him as a player.
I’m sorry but this is utter nonsense. Just because our players aren’t as good as their Man City equivalents, they should have gone into the game with as much effort and professional pride as them. It was apparent that they didn’t. 5 goals in 18 minutes is disgraceful and deserves answers. Foster laughing and joking post-game showed they aren’t hurting. His shirt-swapping nonsense could have been done away from the eyes of travelling fans. It all adds up. I’m proud to be a Watford fan. Always have been. And even losing to Yeovil heavily etc I’m able to say that simply days like those happen. But not yesterday. Yesterday, the efforts of the players made me feel ashamed to be associated with the club ‘in that moment’. Absolving the players of blame or criticism is beyond the pale. They, along with Giraldi, should be first in line for criticism.
You could say the players are not fit to wear the shirt but it seems they don't want it anyway, just swap it for City's at the end of the game. You could say they do not want to kiss the badge but there again the club want rid of that as well. Still every cloud has a silver lining, those clever marketing men at Watford FC will be so happy because we lost 0 - 8 yes, eight which is a lucky number in China and all those fans sitting in Beijing will want to 'follow' us?
