no fight. No pride. Utterly gutless performance. I came away from the cup final feeling embarrassed but this is a new level. Holebas, Kiko, Mariappa and foster should never play for this club again. I feel sick.

Agree. Foster's time is up. "Ha ha ha! Eats a load of junk and doesn't bother training! Ha ha ha!"

Agree. Femenia's time is up. Woeful footballer and has shown nothing for as long as I can remember.

Probably agree. Mariappa has the excuse of being rusty, but what a poor performance.

Agree. Holebas is past it and needs replacement urgently.

Foster wanted Aguero's shirt. What a hero. No anger over a bad performance or conceding 8 goals, which is how it should be.

That’s actually 4 out of 5 of today’s defence, just shows it’s no good having what is thought of a decent midfield and ok frontline if you haven’t got a defence!

If none of our fans had the minerals to invade the pitch and square up to one of our players, then **** them along with the rest of the cowards at the club.

Well we had 2 players who hardly kicked a ball before in defence and 2 poor ones in Kiko and Dawson ...

No wonder we lost so badly .

I mean you forget West Ham and Brigton scored 3 against us .

Nothing up front to hold the ball up or pace to get in behind City .

    Midfield over run .

  9. I think if a football result makes you numb you need to get out a bit more!

It's a horrible result granted, but go out and have a few beers or something and have a laugh.

Foster - Too old, has been past it since the Wolves/Arsenal mistakes last season.
Kiko - Not good enough, can't defend.
    Dawson - Pffft.
Mariappa - Not good enough, Championship at best!
Holebas - Too old, past it.
Hughes - Out of position, but too lightweight, no pace, no fight or aggression.
Doucoure - This is another Ighalo situation, kept him for too long! Regressing massively, no fight!
Capoue - Our best player but absolutely invisible today! No fight!
Pereyra - No fight, no aggression, no bottle, no heart, no desire! Should've sold him this summer!
Deulofeu - Sulks, doesn't have any fight, doesn't want to be here, should've sold him this summer!
Cleverley - Invisible today, but at least wants it!

    Team next week at Wolves:

    Bachmann
    Janmaat
    Cathcart (Prodl if not fit(
    Kabasale
    Masina
    Quina
    Chalobah
    Capoue
    Cleverley (in the 10)
    Sarr
    Deulofeu

Honestly would change the entire back 4 and keeper.

I hope one of them made a hole in the dressing room wall with their head in anger of the performance and shame if it all.

    It’s all Foulquier’s fault.

After today it’s got me thinking.........how bad Coventry must be.

Silva is under massive pressure and Luton got stuffed at home. You see, always a silver lining

I think Foster only gets these shirts to sell on for charity. I don’t think it’s for his own collection.

The lack of effort to even stop the goals must be the biggest concern.

Why did we not give up last week when going 2 down?

Must be something to do with the mental state of the players.

I dont think any of the abuse directed at the players is justified. Presuming this is true, then it's a decent example of why.

None of our players went out at 3pm with the intention of losing 8-0. They had a plan (3 full backs, GD upfront on his own) which didnt work, and didnt work very quickly. If you are 3 nil down after 10 minutes, I imagine it would be very difficult to keep up any level of performance knowing you've certainly already lost.

They didn't just go 3 down due to random events over which they had no control. They went 3 down because they were gutless cowards who committed only about 70% to stopping the opposition scoring.

I disagree. Man City are not from another planet. They are good, very good, but they had a long trip to the Ukraine on Wednesday. They must have been jaded from that. They have a crisis in defence and Sterling did not play. There were reasons for Watford to feel they had a better chance than normal in this game.

But from the first minute, we stood off and did not compete. It was so easy for City to build up a 5-0 lead, within 18 minutes. That is purely down to attitude.

I fear for them now. We have a new manager and in only his second game we perform like that for him.

If we play with the level of commitment shown yesterday we will lose every match. City can destroy a bad team 8-0 because of their quality. You only lose games by this sort of margin if you do not compete.

We cannot bridge the gap in quality but we can do something about our commitment to the cause.

Yesterday destroyed Flores’ reputation. Where do we go from here? It’s a mess of the club’s making. Not sure it will improve now as confidence will be shot to pieces.

For me we’ve got the next two league games to bounce back. If we get good results in those two, then I’d say the City game could be a watershed moment, but if we lose I’d expect Flores to be sacked and the season could certainly implode.

I largely agree with this, but I am clinging to the hope that yesterday was a one-off, due to the players believing they would lose before the game started. That is unforgivable, but they clearly didn’t have that belief against Arsenal. Their attitude at Wolves next week is going to be illuminating.

Do it in the ******* tunnel or the dressing room after the game. I'm sure there are multiple 'Kun Aguero' shirts in a bag.

Don't do it after you've shipped ******* 8 goals in a game in the full view of the watching world. Thick as pigsh*t.
