Dennis has done nothing positive yet. When will he contribute to attack or defence?

If he wants to keep his job with such a small squad, he won’t get away with keeping Andrews and Dennis on the bench at the weekend.

    I’m pretty certain of that.

What’s our stats in terms of percentage that we concede first this season? Must be pretty high.

Rubbish first half hour, good for 40 and then ran out of steam last 20.

All that effort to get back into the game wasted in a flash.

    What a mess.

    Very avoidable goals too.

Yeah have to agree, have waited a while to see if there is a growing positive to TDB at RB but it’s not happened. Again, surely there’s stats to prove it and surely they are being given to VI to look at?

He has added nothing on the pitch.

Like I said, I reckon we are almost at the tipping edge….

With every passing game, I suspect Gino may pull the trigger believing we can get one of those 2 final Playoff spots. I think he’s very wrong but he will still do it I think.

I genuinely don’t think he just lets us be mid table without acting.

He must be raving mad if he thinks that's even remotely possible.

    Leicester are up.

Leeds far too strong. Ipswich,Saints,WBA, Sunderland, Norwich, others too.

What possible evidence does he have to think that could happen?

    Ridiculous man Pozzo.

Still closer to the play offs than the bottom three on points despite that terrible run.

Not quite the relegation battle you crave.

He doesn't suit... Checks notes... Left wing.

We've enjoyed a spell where we looked good under VI with a vim and swagger about some of our football, whilst not really having a proper goalscoring #9 and a holding a shaky defence. All we have now is a disjointed looking team with no confidence and no fitness and no plan b. We spread the game so far across the width of the pitch we leave holes all over when we inevitably give it away.

The Norwich stream said "Norwich have given the ball away 3 times is attacking areas within 30 seconds" without recognising any hint of irony that Watford in turn gave the ball away 3 times in defensive areas.

Along with the classic "Watford have the 2nd highest long pass completion rate". "that means they hoof it a lot". Imbeciles.

A massive shame Aspirllas goal counted for nothing in the end. One silver lining is Porteus is now banned for the next two matches. Kayembe not sharp yet, no idea what Dennis is doing and I suspect he doesnt either.

I take back what I said earlier, we're not rubbish.
Our defence is poor and totally lacks confidence. Our midfield is skilful but not robust enough.
We just look like 2 different teams... In the oppo half we look decent and move the ball well. In our own half we are slow, nervy, and our players know they have to try to play the ball out from the back but are scared stiff.
Val needs to take responsibility for this, he's effectively trying to get his defenders to play in a style they are not capable of doing, so change something.!!
(reminds me of England team in early eighties... Defenders that clogged and hoofed about in the league but then turned out for England trying to play like Franz Beckenbaur.)

Not all that angry. Just sad that we are a nothing team at the moment. Financially weak and drained of spirit. We are in a dreadful abyss and the season will peter out.

TDB should not be played at right back. It costs us goals. Other teams know this now. I don’t think he is a bad player. Dennis is way off. A combination of rustiness and lack of fitness.

Our defending wasn’t up to scratch. Having said that, I thought we played well in the 2nd half up until their 3rd goal.

    Not fun at this time.

I like Val, think he's done a decent job on the whole considering the turn over of players and small squad etc.......BUT.......he's starting to wind me up with some of these slow starts to games!! Why do we only act when we are already behind!?

Why does he persist on playing TDB right-back when Ryan Andrews is on the bench!? Why play Porteous over Sierralta?! How can Asprilla be left on the bench!?

Some of these decisions are baffling and are losing him a lot of credibility. Patience is starting to wear thin now with supporters.

I don't expect to be in the top 6! However, I do expect him to play the best possible players available to him and actually start games quicker!

**** off Ismael! The team basically picks itself and we still have to put up with your **** team selection week in week out. Stop playing people out of position! Id also like to see a stat on how many games we have won with TDB at right back and actually a stat to see how many games we win with TDB playing at all? Im not going to carry on wasting my time watching this utter crap

Yep, we are absolutely nowhere near a relegation battle no matter how much some people wished we were. We'll get 4-6 points from the next two IF we start Asprilla and Dennis. Can't help but feel that being able to say 'I told you so' is way more important than anything else to some.

Next season is a different story and I think it will be really tough. We'll get good money for Asprilla, whose stock rises again after that goal tonight. But it won't be reinvested in the squad unfortunately.

Absolute farse of a performance tonight. All goals bar maybe one could of been avoided. Their fourth goal was pretty lucky being a mis hit and Hamer had no chance of reacting, but to be in that position from coming back from 2-0 down is laughable. Nobody bar perhaps Asprilla had a decent game (great goal from him) and I can see him moving on in the Summer and not wanting to be part of a sinking ship. Line up was the same old, same old from VI. Thought we started slowly (again) and Norwich gained the upper hand in what was overall quite a scrappy game.

Porteous was rancid. I'm sorry, but he was tonight. At least two of their goals came from basic mistakes from the flying jock and he has to take responsibility for that. Lewis was rubbish first half but a bit better second, however I cannot excuse his demeaner which lead to the fourth goal. Turned his back on the crosser of the ball and stood about four yards off him. Just gave up. Talking about giving up, that was what the side did tonight. Nobody wanted to put their foot in and take the game to Norwich. Yes it was good again to come back from a two-goal deficit but how many times are we going to play ourselves into this position? How many more total brain dead selection processes is VI going to survive? TDB is NOT a RB. He was left for dead all night and totally flat footed. Andrews and Sema can both play there.

Speaking of Sema he had a poor game as well, shooting at the corner flag was his best moment. Martins was useless bar a few good passes and getting that ****** Ashley Barnes booked (however he did score just afterwards so there is that). I think once it went to 2-2 we went back into our shells but then totally collapsed at the back and Norwich took the lead straight away, got a fourth and lit the torches.

If we play anything like that at Rotherham, we'll lose. I know VI looks like he'll be safe no matter what, but will Gino really stand for another tame defeat with the same line up and mistakes? It's not VI's fault he was given this squad, but he needs to say some harsh words to the players between now and Saturday because he isn't invincible in his tenure. Sunderland was bad, we knew that. This was squally as bad and just as @hornetboy1 said, we have hit the buffers. All the hard work and steam have run out, and sides are taking us to the cleaners each game. Hamer can only do so much, as good as he is, when he has clowns like Porteous in front of him it must make him so frustrated.

Norwich were bang average but we gifted them the win. Like we have done so often. It's been a really depressing couple of weeks for us, and losing to Rotherham would perhaps cap it all off.

By the way, I thought Norwich were poor, which is saying a lot about our lot. Hamer almost saved their first, unlucky penalty for their 2nd, TBD goes walk about for third (good finish) and Dennis falls over the ball for their fourth.

At least our two goals were well worked and executed.

Can't see how Hamer gets the blame here, nearly saved the first from a FREE HEADER, saved a pen FROM A HOEDT BRAIN FART, conceded a good finish from a defensive mess up and another goal from Lewis's airy fairy defending and a Porteus shin.

That penalty summed everything up, wanted too much time, wasn't really paying attention.

They look like they don't believe this system really works. We can clearly see it isn't, I can't see any movement from Val to amend anything to fix the problems that present themselves so blatantly. And I don't think our players are quite as below average as some think.

Asprilla's goal does not deserve consigning to a 4-2 defeat. But that's where it is.

Not sure what to make of that, like Leicester, we weren’t that bad but again we lose.

The team selections are starting to wind me up, rotation is fine but not sure the passing Dele-Bashiru may have over Andrews, makes up for how much more suspect he is defensively. Yet Val persists.

Porteous consistently panics, there was one moment he passed to a Norwich player right next to him because he wanted rid of the ball, Val is short of decent options at the back but we can’t persist with that back-two, find a solution.

What does Martins offer over Asprilla?

Sema’s drop off has been alarming, got the assist today but offers very little right now.

We play some really nice stuff at times, mostly from midfield, Kone shines yet again but there’s a disconnect. I don’t think sacking Val changes anything but if we don’t win at Rotherham I see Gino pulling the trigger.

I’m more concerned by how soon the players may turn on Val, if you’re going to run a tight ship, you need results for the players to buy in otherwise they’ll soon revolt and down tools, then you’re left with no choice but to twist. I really hope Val keeps command of the dressing room.
