I look forward to him laying it on a plate for the strikers who then fail to score if that's the case.
I had to wonder why we took off one of our better set piece defenders in Deeney for the last two minutes...
But by then we'd brought on a 6ft defender in Nyom and still had Cathcart, Britos, Ake, Capoue, Behrami and Ighalo on the pitch.
In fairness to your post a MAJOR problem we have is attacking crosses when defending and Deeney wins most of the defensive headers have inside our own box.
With his brief cameo yesterday, he completed the double of appearing in both the Spanish and English top flight in the same week!
Breaking news. Stories are emeging tonight that suggest Amrabat has visited the dentist today. http://www.dentistry.co.uk/2016/02/...nordin-amrabat-visits-award-winning-practice/ I'm waiting for WD Sport to get to the bottom of whether he got a sticker or a lollipop for being a good boy.
"What do you do for a living Sophie?" "I write a dentistry blog, reporting on when and where professional footballers are having their teeth checked out." Bizarre.
I'll bump this thread again at the end of the season, by which point I'll have hopefully been proven wrong, but he looks like a bizarre way to spend 6mil in a January transfer window - for our pretty much record signing and given his age (28) I'd have hoped for someone with more attacking threat who'd be able to hit the ground running.
QSF said he'd wanted to sign players in January who could hit the ground running; Amrabat mostly looks like he'll hit opposition players.
Feel he's not a central player in behind the forwards. He looked lost for the most part. I think we can only judge him on his performances when he's up to speed and playing outwide on the left, his favoured position. Would like to see him play wide left against Leeds.
god forbid we judge a player too soon. i thought he was alright today, needs some more time to adapt. I'm confident he will be a good signing for us.
Absolutely, far, far too soon to judge. How many players have we seen over the years that starts off really well, then just never reaches the same levels?
29 games into the season and so far not one of our permanent new signings has scored a solitary goal. The only new addition this season to have scored so far has been Ake. I wonder which one will be first?
You would have thought WFC fans would have learnt from throwing players under the bus too early. Apparently not.
Give Amrabat some time Jurado took a fair few games to get into it. Amrabat is agressive and direct and likes going forward he is tricky and strong I hope he is given a run of games !
Woah there! Amrabat wasn't as effective as I'd have hoped today but there's no reason to be lumping him in with Jurado.
Though QSF has gone on record as saying that he sees him as a central striker. Not sure he's an adequate cover for TD or OI at the moment
How many fouls did he give away yesterday? There were about 3 handballs against him along with two for obvious shoves. He needs to be a bit cleverer in the Prem.
