So who are you 'sure' said he should have the chance to rebuild his career then? ... I know I just thought he was innocent from the off.
He was jailed over four years ago and released after completing his sentence two years ago. Surprisingly enough I can't remember who the people posting it were. What has this got to do with Troy Deeney or Nic Cruwys?
I was pointing out the absurdity of comparing anyone who has ever committed a crime being compared to Deeney regardless of the circumstances, which a poster has just done in this thread.
You are right that two of the posters on this thread are in a stark contrast and still peddling 'their version of the truth' but even on the Molineux Mix site the majority are supporting of the action taken against the perpetrators and often disappointed with the punishment. I think now is the time to stop pointing out there are a small majority of detractors and compliment the overwhelmingly vast majority of Wolves fans who have denounced the youths sentenced today even given the bad publicity it throws on their club.
I find most sentencing these days surprisingly light However having watched the program on telly the other night just be thankful this isn't Pakistan, fathers who commit honour murders on their daughters are let off completely scott free if the family forgives them
According to a Wolves fan on twitter, asking what a picture of some lads with Gino proves has dropped the club in it https://twitter.com/alexjjones_/status/774309910314094592
Yep  Judging by his tweets he reckons that Nic Cruwys and the majority of Watford fans ''believe in violence at football''. He bases this on pictures of different groups of Watford fans at different away days essentially standing around and doing nothing illegal. To the best of my knowledge Nic isn't even in any of the photos shown.
Full marks for persistence to the Wolves Express and Star - been on this and fought for the truth to come out since day one. Responsible for the youngest scumbags, including the lowlife who stamped on his head when already unconscious, being identified by the judge.
The worse thing about your reply JB is that you didn't even read my post, you just skimmed through, saw Deeneys name and assumed that i was comparing incidents. If you go back and read it again you will see that I have used Deeney as an example that after a conviction some people can turn their lives around and improve themselves. The crime that was committed was horrific, but theres nothing to say that through conviction and education some of these lads, not all of them, will improve themselves. As Deeney has proved the system isn't all floored
What does 'preach that snitch' mean? I read a few tweets from these creatures and didn't understand a word of it.
Seems like one of the lads "snitched".... He's getting a stack load of abuse from Wolves fans.... Sums them up really. Few decent ones about, but an awful lot of scum to.
Where has this argument that Nic Cruwys is a 'well-known hooligan' and was 'looking for it' come from? Just curious. Those sentences are ridiculously light by the way. The scum that were responsible should count themselves extremely lucky.
Agree with this. Also, not only does it seem to be merely a handful who are being idiots on there, the fact that one of the main proponents of the conspiracy theory warns his audience that his version of events will "fall on death ears" suggests he may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer....
Easy mistake to make, we've all done it, like saying floored instead of flawed When I was a kid I thought Bohemian Rhapsody contained the line "Beelzebub had the devil for a sideboard".
I don't know what it was with Queen lyrics. I also heard the line "She's a Killer Queeeen, dynamite where her legs have been". How could I possibly have thought "yup, that's it, makes sense".
I love how the Wolves evidence basically boils down to "everyone knows the truth" and if you try and scratch a little bit beyond that its "i've been told by someone reliable" Its the perfect example of confirmation bias in action, they are desperate to find an excuse for their vile fans so they grasp at anything and just post vague assertions edit - Wolves also conceded a 93rd minute equaliser at home today against Burton :]] tragic little club, lets hope the Burton fans escaped unharmed
Unpopular an opinion this is, I do see where you are coming from (but then I was one of the minority who felt that the Bulger killers should have been given a chance, and already one of them has proven once again not to be a fit and proper member of society, so maybe I'm not the best to judge). It was a horrendous attack which seems to have left Nic with a permanent stroke (although thankfully able to communicate and do most if not all day to day duties) and yes, people are right to be pleased that the perpetrators have finally been brought to justice yet at the same time angry that they haven't been punished enough. But one of the attackers was 13, a mere child, who will have to live with this assault for the rest of his life, and I cannot believe that anyone that age is just born inherently evil. Surely his parents have something to answer for, why did he end up with the wrong crowd, what motivated him to commit such a dreadful crime without some kind of outside influence etc? Yes it doesn't compare to what Deeney did, but I'd like to think he along with the other youngster can still turn their lives and reputation around as they grow into mature and hopefully civilized members of the community. The other much older three who were directly involved and clearly led them on can go to hell as far as I'm concerned.
Afternoon all - I posted a long while back when this had first happened. I'm a Wolves fan (52) and was appalled at what happened to Nic. I wasn't at the game but i know people who were and they were shocked to the core. I'm delighted that those responsible have been brought to account, although sentences are not nearly harsh enough. I have read on a few recent posts (looking on here today) that there's a feeling that a lot of Wolves fans think he somehow asked for it and was not blameless ? I'm afraid that my club has always attracted an element of life's vermin who sully the club and the town - it's these idiots that peddle that sort of nonsense. The decent among us don't believe that of Nic for a minute. Most Wolves fans I know were disgusted - ashamed actually - at what happened and it shook a lot of people. Most of us are not animals, we're football (and family men) like supporters everywhere. My best to all of you for the season, Watford are a grand club, and my best wishes to Nic and his family for his continued recovery. All the best - Martin (Mr Wolf)
Wolves Erm.... You're not fooling us. Far too well written to be from a Wolves fan. ;-) I am a (genuine) Wolves fan. Martin
The last member of the group has been sentenced to 2 years. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-37576710
