According to L'Equipe, Cornet doesn't fancy WFC as 'a project' despite us throwing money & guaranteed more minutes on the pitch than he's currently getting. The second part, I wonder, is dependent on Pereyra moving? Are we now in a position to go for bigger/better targets but aren't necessarily attractive enough to them for them to come here?
I think there’s more chance of Gray moving that Pereyra this month. We have some overseas spaces in the squad so could very well be no one moving as well.
Cornet probably believes (probably correctly) that there's a club in Europe that is already in the Champions League that can also offer him more minutes.
Not so sure that Cornet is in the top bracket of players. Very good but not consistent enough to be great. Nobody thought we could get players like Pereyra or Del Boy. But as a premier league club, close to London and cash rich means we can attract talent. Not every player will want to join but don't underestimate Pozzo power. As we speak Kim is probably crated up in the hold of a tramp steamer traversing the South China Sea!
