For those of you that don't have twitter, or just can't be bothered to look at it, I thought it maybe helpful to see Kevin Affleck's timeline of tweets.

It starts as statements, then then turns into answering other people's tweets. I've not included their questions, as I believe the answers explain what must have been said. I've tried to keep this just to the relevant tweets.

I'll update, as and when there is anything new.

Big week for #watfordfc. Owner missed deadline on sat to guarantee funding of club for next 12mnths. Missing new weds date will spark change

V positive. Can't say too much at this sensitive stage about #watfordfc new owner but will reveal more soon.

New owner lined up ready to take over. Bassini may be out by end of week. Needs to guarantee funding of circa 11m.

Info is from sources close to the deal. Significant week for #watfordfc, I'm told. Bassini described as 'phoney' and 'potless'

Said it was a 'significant week' for #watfordfc. Apology accepted from those who accused me of 'stirring'.

Perhaps GT doesn't want to be associated with any possible fallout from ownership struggle & any dirty linen.

Exit of Boothroyd was dressed up as 'mutual consent'.It was anything but.Much, much more to GT exit. Believe what you will, tho

Tough to put a timescale on things but positive change is afoot. Could get worse before it gets better, though

Note the word 'may'. I repeat, change is afoot. Said this week would be 'significant'. So far, so good, huh.

Latest #watfordfc information I'm told is that Elton John is 'likely' to sever remaining connections with the club.

I crave the truth - not attention. Truth is difficult for some to digest,particularly if it's consumed at same time as humble pie.

Took the WO long enough, huh. Would they have reported it had I not served up for free a juicy full **** outside off stump?

Info not of interest to UAE readers so sharing what I can on here. Know much more but cannot betray sources so I hint at it.

Was a reporter at WO and 'shared the facts' then. Few listened then or wanted to listen. Stand by every word

 

thanks for the summary , he was always a good reporter at the wobby , he did go digging and found stuff no one liked and got forced out ! Todays wobby is so weak !and prints the party line , I remember the days when the wobby had investigative journos.

 

Well with HB1s post of those comments, if nothing happens Affleck has zero credibility in future. But if he is anywhere near correct the WO's total silence means THEIR crdibility is shot.

They've been having little digs at each other. Affleck has said 'he knows' we're getting taken over, and so, as you say his rep will be destroyed if this is wrong, which makes you think he must be right.

 

The Observer has been a bit timid since KA left precisely because he almost (did?) land them in court with the club. So they're rather more circumspect. They do appear to have been caught on the hop with this, though. If it is true.

 

My point exactly. Although the Observer is part of a national chain, the last thing they want to do is keep paying lawyers fees.

Affleck also having digs saying how slow the WO, with Anthony Matthews mentioned, and said they were still using his stories 18 months after he left. Heating up! Be interesting to see who's right whoever is wrong will be slaughtered.

 

I don't see where - in his May 28th comments - he mentions GT leaving. He may be on to something but the whole "lining up to apologize" bit makes him seem a phoney. Maybe something is happening but he's not in the know - I am sure of that.

Also the remark re. Boothroyd is so irrelevant it hurts. Of course he was sacked but the statement is always that it is by mutual consent.

 

He never mentioned anything about GT - merely claiming victory because his vague statement about "something significant" happening.

Re: GT exit, *if* he has been sacked by Baz, pretty sure that means the bonds have become payable immediately.

time is only man made so they can sue others as a place with out time will have no chance of winning in court...

I like this Ruddy Clowns character - he seems to have engaged KA in a 'debate'. According to https://twitter.com/#!/RuddyClowns he knows what is happning and KA is jeopardising the deal for the sake of Twitter Kudos. He also says:

OK - a conspiracy theory.

Italian group comes in offering to buy club; at a substantial profit for Baz. Lord Ashcroft/Simpson/Fransen think - we've been shafted here, we want our share of the profit; they engineer a situation to cause a default on Bassini's part, so that they can regain control and sell to the Eye-ties.

 

He has gained 250ish followers in the past few days. Could just be an elaborate ploy to get a larger following.

I'd say that's unlikely. If he's wrong, his credibility will be shot. For a man in his line of work, that's a problem.

Assuming that the RuddyClowns account is legit, it looks certain that something is going on.

@affers1178 No, I dont think they would have, and it seems clear to me your 'sources' are closer to club than WO, you deserve credit 4 that.

I think Afflecks sources are in Occupation Road while the Watford Observers are stuck in the Red (& Yellow, sometimes Black) Lion.

 

Whether Affleck is proved right or not; whether he maintains credibility or not; whether his predictions are born out or not, one thing is for certain - many of us will consider his behaviour on twitter to be the actions of an egotistical ****.

So we are going to sell as a club, its just wether its going to be Bas that makes the profit, or Ashcroft .... that what your thinking GOBE?

 

And as mad as it sounds, I think he could be right.
