I'll never forget the kits. Horrific.
It's funny how perspectives are affected by your starting point. I came in during the late Furphy era and endured the slump into Div 4, so the 78 & 79 promotions weren't so unexpected to me (although they were brilliant). However the 80/81 season was amazing at the time. 9th was a new high water mark for the club and I couldn't get over the fact that we had finished immediately above three such big clubs in Sheffield Wednesday, Newcastle and Chelsea.
He has put on a bit of timber since he left us hasn't he? Looks like he will be a chubby boy before long
I came in in 1969, just as we got promoted to the old 2nd division, times were tough and we struggled for three years eventuality going down and then down again, no matter what division we are in three points are always hard to get, there are 11 other players doing their hardest to make sure it's them that gets the points and not us!
The whole experience is now much more intense, however I along with many others have been very lucky to see the progress made on and off the field over the years always improving, however I will never take three points for granted as you never know how long you are going to have to wait for the next three to turn up!!
Not still 2 points?!
Are you me?
You are both Moog!
According to the always reliable TalkSport, serial promoter Joker is favourite to take over at Forest. Karanka left this morning. Good choice if he gets the job
