Is that acceptable grammar? Shouldn't it be 'What were you expecting? Genuine question.

Current bids total c£600 with a few days still to go. I wonder how many other footballers do the same with their stuff? Good on ya wee man!

Well it's acceptable on here given the 100's of grammatical mistakes every day :)

Though you may well be correct. I think people around my way (Bucks where i brought up, not Norway) would generally use 'was' So its probably wrong.

It's a shame the Scotchland stuff isn't selling.

If he was a size 9 and an Extra Large I might be tempted.

    I was thinking that.

Maybe i should sign up with the Tartan Army forum and advertise it there?

    Ikechi Scored For Scotland Again

After an assist for us at the weekend ... what's going on?

His best asset is pace. I don't think that's deniable. When he's played in a way that utilises that directness, he's going to contribute more than when we're passing the ball around the midfield. Scotland play that way (what options are there when your lone striker is Steven Fletcher).

If we ever start attacking in games, Anya can be a useful player to have in the squad.

Anya always does well for the Scots (think he won their Player of the Year?) but then also seems to get injured.

I am sure the NI fan on here will tell us more but Cathcart must be pretty close to starting for the Irish in the Euros?

Well done Ikechi.. and Scotland for the result.. but i was really hoping Vydra would equalise towards the end.

I think it would have been the first time two Watford players had ever scored for opposing sides in an international. Unless anyone knows otherwise?

    Should definitely start for us.

Annoyingly, we have 3 good PL centre backs in Cathcart, McCauley and Evans. I'd say McCauley is still first in the pecking order but Cathcart is number 2, ahead of Evans.

We have a RB who plays for Fleetwood Town but genuinely looks PL quality when he plays for us (think David Healy, Kyle Lafferty). Due to the fact Brunt is missing the Euros I think we will play J. Evans at LB, but there is a chance Cathcart will play there and Evans/McCauley at CB (probably built a good partnership at WBA). Paddy McNair is also quite promising, although played defensive mid tonight (and played well).

We have experimented a bit with 3 CBs (Cathcart, McCauley and Evans) but we don't look as good so I think it will be Cathcart and McCauley at CB

IKechi has learnt from top strikers (and expert nutmegger Capoue) that goalkeepers spread their legs to have even weight to dive either side, and to hit the ball between their legs.

    He's learnt well.
    An excellent strike.
Can't believe the negatives on here :(

Slam it hard and low and you have a chance.

Is Anya perhaps fresh as a daisy and ready to go against tired defenders who have not had a break all season? Winning goal in the cup final maybe?

I agree that we may see him play more from now on.His pace will be useful against Palace.

Always liked him. Never understand the negativity. One of the most professional and consistent guys we have. Short of being top class, but hardly a crime at WFC.

This is why our formation needs to change. Probably relates more to at home but it does. Having width clearly gives us more chance to get in behind and the game on Saturday is a prine example. 4-3-1-2 is fine away but at home it has really proved to be pur downfall. We should revert back to 4-4-1-1 as it clearly worked, West Ham and Liverpool games for example.

Haha you could say the same for half the team, why single out wee Kech ?

Maybe because he hasn't played much and when he has it's usually been as a sub or in a fullback position.

We played 4-4-2 against Stoke last Saturday, I think it worked well personally.

We did? That was the narrowest 4-4-2 I have ever seen.

Probably a result of playing two central players in the wide positions!
