I love Pudil. It's hard not to take to someone who throws himself into the club ethos from the word go. Even his earliest comments on Twitter were enthusiastic. I really hope we see him at LWB on Monday.

His comments also bode well for us keeping Vydra, should the worst happen on Monday. Vydra and Pudil are very tight, and if Pudil wants to stay so much, that is bound to rub off on Vydra.

It means that they don't get any of the club's money in the event of a divorce.

And the conference room needed a new paint job as they were sorting out deals?

If...when we go up, it's academic...however if the worst case scenario happens we will have the squad assembled before August 31st, it will then just be formalities.

What a great interview! Completely devoid of the usual cliches and drivel most footballers allow to seep out of their orifi.

He is a great, great guy, but unfortunately he's an ordinary footballer.

I think Cristian was crying at the end, him and Forestieri are brilliant. Always give everything on and off the pitch, hopefully one day we will see them tearing up the Premiership together for us.

I like Pudil, he started really well but faded during the season. I hope he was just getting used to English football.

The worry for me, and has been for sometime, is Cassetti. Great footballer perhaps but clumsy defender. Clumsy challenge at Peterborough to get red carded. Another on Kockheart, albeit he went down quicker than a cheap prostitute, and again today - why did he even consider challenging Zaha in that position?

By getting worse? That's a counter-intuitive way of getting used to something.

It's just his age/physical fitness showing IMO, a 35 year old playing 115 minutes of football is bound to be tired, especially against a young Zaha. Don't blame him one bit, I'm pretty sure we had a chance to clear it before it even came to be a penalty, but someone missed a header I think.

It wasn't even his fault vs Leicester either, Briggs just completely let Knockaert past him without making any attempt what so ever to stick in a challenge or to stick with him, Cassetti had to cover him and it was a perfectly legitimate tackle.

I don't disagree that he was in those situations due to perhaps other errors but in those positions, a player of his quality and experience should no better than to put in those sort of challenges.

True, he's had an outstanding season though and I for one would love to see him back again next year, Zola can't be playing a 35 year old for 90 minutes for 50+ games a season though, he needs to be rested a little. Now that I think back to the incident, it seemed a little stupid to stick in a challenge on Zaha, to me it looked like he was just heading diagonally to the corner flag, wasn't really that much threat to warrant lunging in. But oh well, let's not derail the main topic.

Still not sure about his defending but if he is happy to stay and play for us then great - its what we need.

There is a possibility I was on the train with Pudil's wife/partner. There was a fairly large Czech family on the train. One of whom was blonde very attractive and had a Pudil Watford shirt on! The other attractive lady was wearing a Vydra top. I have a picture to upload if anyone want to confirm?

I like him too, but maybe we only thought he was so good at the start of the season as we weren't very good? and most of our players hadn't settled? just a theory
