Redeem it on the watford website on a computer or the watford app on a phone/tablet by logging into the Hive Live section of either. You'll need to set up an account if you haven't already. You can watch the game on either via that section.

 

Am I right in thinking you can't watch the game on Hive Live tonight if you are in the UK? (audio only)

Yes, Sky have the exclusive rights so unless you’re a former season ticket holder who has paid your £20 - in which case the club emailed a code yesterday you can use to access coverage tonight - you can’t watch the game through The Hive. You can though buy a Now TV £9.99 day pass to watch Sky Sports instead.

 

So reserve-my-seat fans with the voucher do get the video feed? (sorry, I find the comms from the club a bit ambiguous)

 

Yup. And I’m genuinely not being snarky when I say this but if you scroll down the same article you quoted from above on the club website it says:

I’m not sure that’s that ambiguous!

 

When I open the video feed at the moment, I get told I need to buy a subscription, although I already have one.

Hopefully that's just a bad error and the feed isn't available yet, because I'll be rather annoyed if I miss the first game despite paying for it.

You're in the US too right? It's only on ESPN+ today. Games live on Sky in the UK will only be on ESPN, not hive live.

 

However, where's the pre show? I thought that was available to everyone?

It is a source problem.
They have been made aware of it but haven't fixed it from last week

 

Thanks but doesn't work for me. May be because I have an international season pass but I should still be able to access the pre show. Nevermind, Im sure it's just propaganda, justifying the 'knocks' and 'illnesses'

 

Actually the pre show wasn't bad.
Emma,Smith and Mooney worked quite nicely.
They do need to fix the sound though.

 

Is it just me or is the quality of the broadcast terrible (just the game not halftime show). It's completely blurry like playing fifa 11

Will it be possible to se the Oxford game on Hive?

 

The presenter keep mentioning the next game on Hive being the Oxford one but did not state that we would be able to watch it.

 

I enjoyed watching the Hive last night, good presenters offering a Watford friendly point of view. The sound is not loud enough at the moment but sounds like it is going to be improved. Hope so!

 

Couldn't watch it on TV (even with an HDMI cable from my my laptop), quiet sound, dreary commentary (I thought), no crowd noise and a poor match. A great Friday evening's entertainment!

 

Why didnt it work? Was it the rights protection stuff like netflix do?

 

I'm not technologically savvy enough to know. In my mind, you stick a cable from one device into another and that's all that's needed!

 

Just wondered if there was an error msg. I was oping to try for the oxford game if its in hive.

 

The only message was 'No connection can be detected', the same as from all ports without a cable attached.

thats more hopeful, if nothing comes up, its probably the computer settings, if you got the browser on you tv, but the video wouldnt run, then i’d think it was hive. At a guess, you jeed to change pc settings to tell it you are using an extra screen.

 

I did exactly that on a non-smart TV and it was fine. I ran Hive Live from the website on my iPad and just had to select the correct HDMI input setting on the TV.
