This season could be enjoyable purely for its novelty factor, but if we don't get promoted then any remaining gloss will be well and truly gone by the next one.

If you are referring to his stance early in the lockdown period then I think that you are out of order.

I am referring to him not returning to training with the rest of the players in preparation for the last nine games. I thought it was a disgraceful way for our Captain to behave as he could have stayed away from his lad for a couple of weeks if he was concerned about catching the virus and passing it on, and I think he showed a lack of leadership and concern for the club. But of course, you are perfectly entitled to your opinion, and others agree with you. Certainly our team showed a complete lack of unity in our performances since then, and we were a goal or two away from safety. It was a crucial time, and he let his club down.

And since then Deeney has continued to show that he only thinks of himself - I think he is a poisonous presence in the club and I hope we get rid of him damn quick.

Absolutely right. Another reason why mass departures would be beneficial.

There is a lot of hysteria around Deeney and his 'power' at the club but the more I see and hear the more it is a cultural issue by a large % of the squad, not just one or two. Get rid of as many as possible, accept this season will be a mid table finish and begin to rebuild properly.
