Ditto, run time error, saying certain pages taking too long to load. These seem to be one with links on to transfer rumours especially

 

Any word on this? Still going on.

 

I'll try resetting the server, I'm not experiencing anything myself so do keep updating the thread.

Fixed for a bit, same problems happening again now

 

Mine's been fine this morning.

 

I had the run time error again first thing this morning - 7am ish - but other than a couple of really slow page loads I've had nothing since.

Hi all, over the last few days I've been having trouble accessing the site without my browser freezing/crashing. I've tried it with both Google Chrome and Safari on my laptop and it keeps happening (I'm posting this from my 'phone). Is it just me, or are other people having this issue? I wasn't sure if any of the site software had been changed recently. Let me know.

 

Nothing changed at our end Levon, I've not personally experienced any of those issues either but can't speak for others.

 

No issues for me either .... suggest you clear cache and if that doesn't fix it do a malware scan.

Not saying you have but don't EVER download anything from streaming sites just because they tell you that you must ... they are only ads and scams. I noticed one with a scary blue screen with a voice that tells you to call whoever to remove a virus which is a b!tch to close (you have to tick 'stop browser reloading this page'), of course I don't call them and tbh they are all pretty harmless unless you actually follow the instructions they give because unless you do they only sit in your browser's cache which you can always clear.

Huh, seemed to be I just needed to update my flash player. Thanks anyway, chaps.

And for the record, I never use streaming sites. I'm so paranoid about viruses and the like that there are very few websites I actually access on my laptop, especially as I'm about to start my final year of uni.

 

Chrome has a built in flash player ... in fact they recommend that you uninstall any other instances.

 

Just to let you know the site went down about 00.30 GMT last night.

Either brought up a 404 error page or sent me to a site called Parallells saying wfcforums may not exist! happened for about 5 minutes before I gave up and switched off.

 

Every Sunday late night/Monday early hours the site always goes down for 10 minutes or so.

 

This is for GCHQ to upload all our posts and associated Ip's unhindered and undetected. Yes I know that only needs seconds but the clean up always takes a little longer.

The Watford v Palace match preview thread is Websensed because of 'adult material'. Any chance of working out what it is and binning the rogue link/post? Thanks.

 

OK here and my work computer uses websense and rejects anything that's looks slightly sick. There's nothing in the thread either so likely a websense issue. Can you please try again?

NoT a bug as such, but I have started getting notifications of "awards and achievement".

Usually I win an award, then I mysteriously give it back. I don't know why!

They are annoying me as I don't really understand them. How can I stop the notifications, please?

 

Maybe if you stop playing Candy Crush?

It's not a Taptalk thing. I get them too, primarily the Saddo Activity Award. I think it's linked to the Points system somehow. The notifications are pretty annoying as I don't want or need to know.

 

I've changed a setting, let me know if you still get them?

Just now hitting the "today's posts" button is giving me a database error, same if I use the quick links and drop down to todays posts. Navigating manually seems fine. Using Chrome.

Yup and me .... however it has forced me into using the 'what's new' button instead which is not too bad when you get used to it
