Yes perhaps but what's that got to do with him hanging around the dugout still?

Sometimes do get confused as to why he has become such a scapegoat. I think our recruitment since his arrival (defence aside) has largely been good to average for a club of our size and financial power. I'm also not 100% sure (is anyone?) as to what his actual remit is? Has he been advised from Gino to spend more on attackers than defenders due to their potential resale value? If that's the case I'm not sure how much blame can be given to Giraldi.

Or is it because he's spotted around the training ground or dugout? Again he's surely has been given the green light by Scott/Gino to do so, and I'm not sure if anyone Head Coaches have publicly come out and say they don't like him doing so.

He's definitely made mistakes during his time here but the same can be said of Gino, Scott and every Head Coach.

To be honest though I haven't given too much attention to his role so am happy to be educated.

It's multiple managers saying that he hangs round the training ground and tries to tell them what the team and tactics should be, questioning every thing they do.

Javi had a bust up with him and barred him from the changing room shortly before he was sacked. QSF said he wouldn't leave him alone and it's rumoured he was involved in the half time shouting match v West Ham with Cheers, Nige.

He might be ok at certain aspects of his job, but seems to be a total micromanager, which has caused a lot of aggro.

Sources? Not being a d1ck, just genuinely don't remember that. If those incidents happen, should the head coaches not bring it up with Gino/Scott? And should Gino/Scott not take steps to make sure it doesn't happen again?

It's easy to find the reports that RP has mentioned with the exception of the Pearson one. But he suddenly appeared on the bench after lockdown and is reported as passing notes to Mullins during games and shouting angrily for substitutions.

A lot of the questions are answered earlier in the thread if you go through it. It's a rare thread where there isn't too much bitching or offroading into country music.

An excerpt from an Athletic article on Marcelo Bielsa. Floppo and Gino ought to read it. Orta plays a role similar to but much better than Floppo. Monchi is not too bad either.

For all their interaction, Orta makes an effort to respect Bielsa’s personal space. He (Bielsa) has no office at Thorp Arch and tends to visit the training ground as little as once a fortnight. “Never offer a coach advice unless he asks for it,” Orta says. He learned that lesson from his mentor, Monchi, at Spain’s Sevilla. And it applies more than ever with Bielsa.

Bielsa would probably stump his cigarettes out in his eye if he intervened.

  17. As usual everything has to be boiled down to absolutes around here and reality is rarely that.

Recruitment has been scatter gun, but it has also given us over the last few years Gomes, Capoue, Ighalo, Behrami, Del, Doucs, Foster, Vydra... and more relevant for this season Wilmot, Chalobah, Ngakia, Estupinan, Suarez, Quina, TDB...

If Giraldi is responsible for all the sh1t signings he must also be responsible for all the decent signings.

Technical Director was probably a step too far for him.

Even this embarrasses the club. They spend most of the close season barely telling us anything, while Giraldi's off having a chinwag with some obscure Italian publication and blabbing about goings on at our club.

He’s also talking more like an agent or even an employee of Fiorentina. Certainly doesn’t sound like he’s employed by us. Which he is. Mores the f*cking pity.

As for the communication - the club kept injuries and all manner of news close to their chest even when we were in the 24/7 news cycle of the PL. Interviews and press-conferences all over the place and we still knew very little. That’s gonna be worse now we are out of the public eye as well...

I've no massive objection to them keeping injury information secret if they think it gives us even a small competitive advantage. But don't then let club employees go off telling everyone else what's going on.

Warnock's analyst can now rule Masina out of his report for Friday, as can every opponent through until November.

The teams are lining up in the tunnel on Friday night, the Boro players glance up and down the tunnel at the Watford players. Wait, who's that at the end? Boro players look confused, is this a new Watford signing that they didn't know about? Out steps Masina. Boro have been mind-****ed and Giraldi does it again. We go on to win 5-0 with a hat-trick of Masina assists.

I was about to say something similar UEA, because as you know I have been scathing about the clubs lack of communication with us fans.

However now Giraldi is spouting off the clubs business to some Fiorentina news site called "Firenze Viola" when we the clubs fans are still being kept virtually in the dark. The Club can now add contempt as well as disrespect to the list of insults against us fans

Smh. Pozzo can’t win can he?

Some fans are scathing about lack of communication from the club and then when it’s forthcoming, they complain it’s not done in the correct manner.

    There’s no pleasing some people.

Regardless of Filippo's flops, that Masina news is very annoying; he's barely featured at all in any chat or hype over the break when it comes to retained players, and yes, of course I'd rather Pervis stay and dominate the left flank, but Masina is, at this level, surely incredibly competent competition, at the least. He's also used to English football and physically a unit, which will suit him even better in the Championship. Being out for months is not helpful to begin with, let alone what the hell will happen if Estupinan does suddenly fall down a trapdoor somewhere near the end of the window.

He's not fit enough to be the coach driver as invariably he would end up parked in some riparian situation. Or crash. How he still is at the club after the debacle he presided over beggars belief.

He’s incredibly weak in strength for someone his size. Obviously would need replacing but Masina isn’t a player I’d be upset to lose to be truthful. Not convinced of his merits in this division and have the same fears over Kabasele.

He doesn't use it well, it's true, but I'd be hoping with a new and hopefully competent coaching team in place, that might actually be something that is coaxed out of him. The whole 'coaching as a method of improving a player' really seems to be something that we just chucked out of the window a few years ago, but theoretically it should be a helpful tool.

So you think it is right Luke that Giraldi should talk to some obscure Italian news site before he speaks to us the clubs fans, well I don't agree. However, one thing you are right about and that is there is no pleasing some people, because they just have a go at people and twist there words just to take the piss, they are pathetic which is a the most polite way I can describe people like that.
