    Same here.

    That sounds like a good decision. Nothing wrong with being proud of your country but these marches tend to get hi-jacked by extremists. Last year I went on the 'Unnconditional Ceasefire Now' march because I wanted Israel to stop bombing the **** out of Lebanon and ended up amongst thousands of people chanting 'We are Hizbollah!' Er..no!

    To be honest any march is the product of people with a high level of interest in a cause. And often the only people with such high motivation are extremists. 1m people turned out (apparently) to march against the Iraq war. That only leaves 59m people who didn't. And that's not because they couldn't or because they didn't necessarily agree with the reasons for marching, it's because they weren't motivated enough. And what happened there: an anti-Iraq war protest is hijacked by the pacifist minority. I honestly don't believe all 1m people were against war full stop.
