    St. Georges day is the 23rd of April. That sums up how un-patriotic this country has become. *Sighs*

    No! I doubt it is BNP they prob will be there but i want nothing to do with BNP!!! Me thinks part of the reason for it was because a few months back they tried to change the flag to the flag of St.Alban Because he in fact was englands first martyr but even though i from st.albans i wouldnt like to see it as our national flag, and they are just marching to show our love for the flag, either that or its a march for our flag for no reason but i'm going either way something productive to do lol

    not sure if i am still going like all these things will end up being called rasist for loveing my country, all respect for this country has gone. i also think with this march it is going to have a VERY rasist undertone to it

    Of course it will have a racist undertone, it'll all end in arrests and people getting offended.

    As i said waste of time.

    i don't sing the national anthem and its not because i never have the opportunity or that i don't know the words. Its because i'm a republican.

    can you explain the origins of either the flag or anthem then, given that they are a history you are proud of. and by that i mean off the top of your head, not googled.

    i'm just saying, if you're going to go on about their history and heritage, you should know about them. otherwise you could be accussed of just spouting generic jingoistic rhetoric.

    to be proud of where your from does'nt require a history lesson

    how can people coming into this country learn to repect it when english poeple don't

    i would have gone on this march but knowing what i no about it now i am not. it started out for the right resions but will not plan out how it should

    i'm not necessarily disagreeing with you. Its just that you said the flag and anthem are our history and heritage and i'm just hoping you can elaborate a bit more.

    To be fair, Fan has a point! Alot of people believe St.George was a turk, which to be honest doesn't bother me, he represents what i stand for and this country should, I have said before I am no racist and no BNP member nor NF, I just stand for my countries pride which should be our flag, unfortunately it is not to many people but it is to me and many others. Ivam, I respect your choice, although thinking it is stupid, but I repsect it and would hope you are still proud to be english.

    I am all English, Born and Bred and have never had anything but pride for our country and I will show this on the 18th, I will be taking part in no racist chanting or any of that BS. Just to put the record straight; St.George was not England's first martyr, guess who was... Nope, nobody got it, it was ST.ALBAN!!!!

    KEEP ST.ALBAN IN MY HEART,
    KEEP ME ENGLISH!

    But then again, I wouldn't like St.Albans Flag to be the national one pewwww!

    St.George's Barmy Army!

    Maybe if this country wasn't being run by a load of over paid monkeys and more than 30% of our population was actually ENGLISH we would have more national pride... personally, I'm proud to be English, but detest what our country has become.

    Well apparantly in the last election more people voted for Conservative, but becuase of the way the voting system works (I don't know so don't ask me) Labour got back in! :mad:

    Not true. Labour got 35.2% of the vote, the Conservatives got 33.3%.

    [IMG]

    The map is predominately blue in England but the Tories always do ok in England as they dominate the rural, farming areas and the commuter belts. Labour naturally does better in urban areas. However, as we vote for a government for The United Kingdom of Great Britain it's wholly irrelevant who votes for who in England on it's own.

    What killing Dragon's ?

    Where can i find more infomation on this waste of time/space march ?

  35. davidnewtonwfc

    Ah yes, I meant the number of actual votes, obviously I forgot the constituencies, which is what goes towards the new government,

    E.G.
    Tories = 10,000 votes
    Labour = 8,000 votes
    However, Labour gained 10, over Conservatives 8 constituencies

    (Obviously the numbers are ficticious for example purposes)
