Well, Its easy in the way that you don't have to write any essays!

I'm not great with numbers so it aint easy, I got a B in my exam which was pretty damn good for me!

The easiest exam for GCSE's was geography. I did NO work for it and got a A :]].

And Beskinsboy, I did 1483-1529. Richard III, Henry VII, Henry VIII etc..

No! The easiest GCSE was by far Media seeing as you get the exam paper two weeks before the actual exam!

Had Eng Lang today. Horrific. Only wrote 5 and a half pages whilst most others wrote 7 or 8. Couldn't get to grips with the Grouping Texts part of it, poor choice of texts on their part if you ask me. Did Language and Power in section B, which was alright. Probably looking at a C overall with the coursework.

*****, all this seemed easy in lectures, now I'm 13 hours away from the exam and can;'t do a question without trawling through notes and examples, even then its witchcraft to me.

Failed my PE exam today. Was absolutely dreadful.

When you study and study and study for one thing which is most likely to come up in the exam, it's a bit of a kick in the bollox when it doesn't come up.

I was doing my politics exam in the same room as the PE exam, and everyone looked a bit pissed off.

I was doing my PE with the people doing politics and I had basically finished by the time the politics one had so I was just finneee

How did the people doing politics look? I found my exam better then expected, but apparently a lot of people found it really easy. I found it quite difficult.

I found it better than I expected. I did the constitution and the 40-marker on Parliament. I had no idea how I would have answered the judicary 40-marker if I had too though. And I didn't revise for the PM, so in some ways I was lucky.

  11. simms

    simms vBookie

I did constitution nad the Judiciary one. I assume you did Execel :)

The judiciary was easy because i revised it specifically the night before. I talked about the human rights act, and judicial review, and the opposing side, the increase in legislation that undermines our civil liberties, and the the fact we dont have an entrenched bill of rights.

I have no idea how i would have answered the one about the cabinet, what two things do they talk about? I would have guessed like policy and party image?

On the judiciary, I guess I would have had some idea, but I hadn't learnt things like judical review very well, whereas I has revised Parliament the night before. TBH, I didn't even read the cabient questions, I hadn't revised for it, and the constitution questions were perfect

  13. simms

    simms vBookie

Yep, its just luck i guess, i wouldn't have known how to answer it. What was the one on parliament again? The 40mark one?

For the 25 one on the constitution, we didnt have to give both sides of the argument did we? I breifly mentioned a few points for it in the conclusion though.

Do the judiciary one instead like i did.

What was the actually 40 marker about the executive?

  16. bracknellhornet

    bracknellhornet Reservist

something like 'To what extent does parliament hold executive power?'
All i could say was parl holds soveriegnty (which i dont even know is correct?) and that parl has law making powers. I think i needed to talk about the different systems like presidentialism and stuff though.

Wasnt it like how it controls exec power?

I would have said about scrutiny how pmqs and comittees and things like that, and the lessening of party unity in recent years, however the pm still controls the exec by appointing the cabinet or something like that. I don't know, im glad i did the other one now.

I've got History in the afternoon. Those doing A2 have their exams during the World Cup. Glad thats not me:biggrin:

I think I'll just spend the whole of Friday watching the World Cup:cool:

Ok, gotta feel sorry for the A2 people.

There is meant to be a party on the Thursday night, and then school on the Friday but nobodies going in. No party for me with the day after though:rant:. Apparently at school in the next few weeks teachers will put the games on the interactive whiteboards so that might be good, as well as the tvs in the common room. Might stir up a bit of atmosphere.:sign15:

Yep, really looking forward to my A2s - 16th till 25th. Fantastically well placed, to coinside beautifully with the World Cup. At least the latter stages will be enjoyable, providing Mr Capello takes us there.

I still plan to watch every game though :)

Yeah, most games are on in the evening though, aren't they? I know some games kick off at 12:30 though, including the England one. But I have no school on the Friday, and we're only having proper lessons for the first week after exams. After that, we're doing random, different things each day.
