Good game, Chargers got themselves back in it after a great start from Saints.

 

Yes I went, and it was a good game.

The Chargers gave away too many yards in penalties, and with a little more discipline would have won the game.

However, it was a good shootout between Brees and Rivers/LT that wasn't over until the last second of the game. You can't really ask for much more.



Actually on that note, I would like to complain about the "Best plays" movies shown on the big screen. There was only one Titans play on there despite the fact that the 49ers seemed to have major play time and they are $hite. Booooooooooooo

 

Not known at this time, but they will sooner or later. College success doesn't always result in Pro demand or success, but these guys will get a look.

I did not. We had our Galaxy season ticket holder special event last night.

 

Just saw your post on the Galaxy thread.

 

On the hill just behind the University of California, Berkeley's Memorial Stadium, there is a good view of the game going on inside and below.

It's kind of a hike to get up there, but some like the anarchistic feel of spectating the game for free.

It's called 'Tightwad Hill'.

The Bears are playing the Oregon Ducks today and it is pouring rain, yet still folks are up there on Tightwad Hill with slickers and blue poly tarps.

Here is an article from two years ago about the plans to build a 2 story seating bank addition which would black the view from Tightwad Hill.

Since then, some total wacko's who were protesting the removal of trees on the site of the stadium build lived for two years in the trees preventing their removal as the protest made it's way through legal proceedings in court. This is a very Berkeley-esque protest, by the way.


They finally settled their case two weeks ago, they came down from the trees, the trees were removed and the build is getting underway.

I'm not sure what will happen with Tightwad Hill though.

Hi Guys,

I'm fan of the NFL, have posted a few times on here but not for a while. Is it too late to join in the prediction league thing?

 

Not at all, we post predictions before KO (5pm here) for all games including the Monday night game.

I read last night that the Raiders are looking to get rid of DeAngelo Hall. Decent CB who I'm sure will attract plenty of interest.

 

Already have. I wonder if anyone will take up his $70 million contract on waivers or will he go onto the open market?

I expect the 'Boys will look to sign him up now that Adam Jones is "unavailable" although he has been linked with the Colts, Jaguars, Redskins and Giants.
