Disgraceful, inept and gutless...

Top posting sir! My feelings entirely!

Love Aidy for what's he done, but no excuses can be made for some awful tactics/team selection recently! Mackay against the pace of Baros and Agbonlahor is just a non-starter, not even debatable that was the wrong selection today!

Mariappa as you said gave Barry far too much room first half (take note scooby  ), although I thought despite a few mad moments Stewart had a fairly 'ok' game!

The team selection really needs to be alot different for Tuesday night, otherwise I can see another 0-2 defeat coming up!

I see 'Nottinghamhornet' has f**ked off with his pathetic little tail between his legs! Calls me a muppet for telling it how it is but can't throw any valid points back at me for a debate!

From what i heard on here and saw on MOTD i would tend to agree with a lot of what has been said.
I was impressed with how Hoskins handled himself and I think that when he has a bit more experience at this level will be a tremendous assett to the club.. so long as he gets the service he needs... ie to feet.. no point lofting it in for him.
Was very frustrating to see Malky give the game to them on a plate, horrible attempt at clearing it... if he had been able to do that at the other end it would have been a goal of the season contender... (I know it went in off Mahon but not his fault at all)
I was saying in live chat that i thought abonglahor was going to be trouble and was not suprised when it was him who hammered home the final nail.
All in all another gimme from us to the opposition... not impressed

The second goal was meaningless. Bonga only scored it because we had pushed forward trying to equalise. He did not look like scoring for the rest of the game.

not really meaningless, it was the final nail given that when it went in it meant that no matter what we couldnt get a point without a small miracle had we scored.. and Abonglahor was looking menacing most of the game... seeing him put it away and putting the game out of reach was no suprise, until it went in there was always a glimmer of hope for a point... however faint a glimmer.

Apart from a decent spell at the end of the first half and start of second half we looked devoid of any ideas!

It's no coincidence to me that our best chances came from getting the ball wide and getting crosses into the box, rather than lumping the frigging thing 150ft into the air to a 5'9 striker!

Who was up against a top quality and very experienced International defender in Mellerg...no wonder the Swede got Villa's MOTM as he won anything in the air.

Exactly! Mellberg is different class in an aerial battle so what do we do? We smash it in the air to him and don't bother to exploit his lack of pace/mobility!

If we can't score in the last 270 minutes, were unlikely to score in the last minute today anyway. I went with 2 Villa season ticket holders, (but stood in away end). On the way home even they said he is only ever dangerous through the middle.

i never uslay leave games early but this sesions ive a few very early

the players don;t seem to have any ideas coming forward

our midfiled is just not there full stop which puts to much pressure on our defence

fosters one of the only resions we wer'nt embarsed badly to day

aidys brillient but needs to look at some of his desions hes made recently

i feel sorry for hoskins looks a decent player but coming in to a team which is so poor coming forward can;t be doing him any good

maybe aidys idea with makey was there attackers might run stright in to him:confused:

    Very disappointing result.

I don't see the defiant spark we showed even in losses in the beginning of the season any longer.

I think the Ash saga has taken a toll on the chemistry of the team and how it feels about itself.

I reluctantly admit to not being much of a fan of MacKay.

Malky over Demerit? Hardly as if Villa are a big team up front. Sorry Malky I have been a big fan of yours but I am not sure you are even quick enough for fizzypop now. WTF is Aidy doing picking him?

Danny did ok - still looks unfit to me. It didn't matter at the time but how the hell did he get pushed of the ball by Agbonlahor? Big Dan needs you to use his size and weight and be a bit more mean and nasty.

Foster - showed just why we won't have him with us next season. Prem keeper and will go to a Prem side if he isn't starting with Manure by then.

JS will get beaten at this level from time to time. Unfortunately thatis a fact but he is better than anything else we have.

Mariappa is not ready for this level. In fact he needs to play regular first team football at a lower level. Will he be good enough for fizzypop yet - I don't know - positionally he is struggling but RB is not where he has played most of his football. Horribly exposed second half (often marking two) cos Tommy did not cover cos he was moved left when Bouazza went off. I am not sure who Aidy expected to track back down the right (Hoskins?).

Francis is not good enough, fact. He is not bad going forward but he lacks pace to get back and does not put in the hard graft and tackling.

Hoskins looked as if he could develop into something handy and, slightly less so, Priskin. But give them a chance and play it to feet not lumping it into the air everytime.

I just hope that Bouazza did not get replaced because he has taken a bad knock - he looked probably our most dangerous player.

Mahon solid without being particularly influential but difficult doing the defensive work for Francis as well. Tommy tries hard but barely good enough for this division.

Aidy - team selection? Substitutions? Sorry, not great again today.
