It would you surprise then, as it's me who is promoting Lee Mason as a good referee. Doesn't quite fit your agenda though, so best just ignore that. You can use it against me later if he has a bad game.

I just say it how I see it with total honesty, which I know riles certain people on here. The club and head coach are saying the same thing and as I am, so I think I'm well in tune with a majority view. I'll leave the conspiracy theories to you, seeing as you have a good understanding of the subject.

I've long thought this forum is for good fans, as well as a collection of oddballs who are an extreme polar opposite to reality. These tend to be loud and generally abusive to others for no reason. They normally have an alias which suggests we would get relegated.

Not at all saying you don’t have a right to say it how you see it. I would question you placing yourself with the ‘majority’ though. All I’ve commented on is that you seem to pass comment on pre-game threads with increasing regularity about officials. I am certain that at some point this season, all managers in the PL will have said the same as Silva has said this week. Doesn’t mean anything and is just managers using their public profile to try and gain a professional advantage. I genuinely don’t worry from one game to the next about which referee we have. It’s hardly the days of Andy D’Urso or Rob Styles.

You need to be more specific. A number of posters might feel anxious reading this, thinking you're possibly having a dig at them.

For the sake of everybody's feelings, could you please be a little less ambiguous?

    Cheers.

I may question certain referees because the same observations are being made after every match when these few officials are appointed. Had we had a more neutral referee on Saturday, we'd have probably won. Like it or not, we are at the mercy of the officials. They can dictate a game one way or another with their decisions. This is why they should be spoken about and not brushed under the carpet.

Those comments from Mark Clattenberg cannot be ignored. It shows a clear insight into how officials think and to me it makes total sense. They are all men that like football. Of course they like certain teams, and dislike others. I believe some let their own ego, prejudice or incompetence get the better of them. There's a long held suspicion by many in the game, that referees favour bigger sides. Can so many people be wrong to have that opinion?

I would love to see European officials brought to the Premier League just as a one off. They could do a couple of weekends, and by the end of it, I think you'd see a much fairer balance of decisions across the board. It would be an interesting experiment.

If Okaka starts tonight we WILL win.

If Deeney starts tonight we MIGHT win.

If Gray starts tonight we WILL lose.

I've nothing wrong with them doing so. It just confuses me as to why they'd want to spend their time on another teams forum? That's why I suspect most of the oppenent "fans" coming on here are just 2nd accounts (like the 'ITK' group). Remember Sheffield Wednesdays very own 'Owls4Life'? - it seems like one of us forgot the password to that account

As I said though, I have nothing wrong with it as some are actually a good laugh

Have you seen the state of forums for other clubs? It's like leaving your significant other for the younger hotter assistant you have a brief fumble with at the office Xmas party. So I've been told.

Not confident about tonight. If he plays, Benteke will be fired up and wanting to prove a few things. Holebas playing, expect a shed load of crosses coming in to our box

    Surprised Deeney over Gray again.

    Surprised Carrillo over Pereyra.

Holebas almost guaranteed to take out Zaha and give away a penalty. Weak line up but good bench.

Not sure why so many think we will lose. They are bottom of the league for a reason. I’m currently in the Weatherspoons pub by Thornton Heath, for which I apologise, feeling very confident. Surprised Gray isn’t starting

    Bizarre line up

3 at the back against a team who will spend all day feeding the ball to the channels and looking to cross

    Pereyra dropped

Deeney starting away from home, allowing Palace to set up with their defensive line on the edge of our penalty area

We’ll do well to get a draw

Surprised to see Deeney starting after his shocking performance on Saturday, and while Gray has been a bit crap, at least his pace gives the opposition something to worry about (sort of).

Would like to see Success given a run out at some point.

3-4-3 has worked pretty well away from home this season. Good bench means we can switch it up if needed. Not surprised Pereyra has been dropped, he's been poor and from the reports today Silva thinks he can work harder like Cleverley Cleverly and Doucoure.

Just looking at the Chelsea line up for tonight and it looks like we are applying the same kind of tactics as them.

    HUDDERSFIELD V CHELSEA TEAM NEWS
So, Chelsea go without a recognised striker, with Pedro replacing the injured Morata.

If it's good enough for the champions, it's good enough for little old Watford.

Looks like a classic 'manager sending message to the board about reinforcements just before the transfer window opens' line up to me.
