What do you think my narrative is?

Because a player who we didn't need, foisted upon us by our owners who has played in 4 of the last 5 and achieved absolutely nothing in each of those appearances and who has shown clearly that he's no use to us in our current predicament (certainly no more than Sema was) fits my narrative perfectly.

1/10, poor effort. We were poor and you deserved to beat us, but providing a perfect summary of how your team operate and the suggesting that’s actually us is a lame effort, try again but with more effort.

Nope, you're still getting the logic the wrong way round:

    - They're given more time to settle because they're better quality players who are anticipated to become better players for us.

    - The price tag is just the consequence of the fact that they were better quality players who were anticipated to become better players for us.

We already have in all our previous posts, I’m not going to spoon feed you. You clearly have an extremely binary way of looking at things so it’s pointless wasting my time any further.

I honestly don't get your logic, nor that of anyone else that has just feebly given up with 27 points to play for.

Why on earth was it a crucial game? Have you not noticed that out of the other 5 teams in the current bottom six, they have got 1 point between them today.

Look at the run ins we all have. Ours is easier than most of them, if not all of them, and we are not currently in the bottom three.

What makes you think that three out of Norwich, Villa, Muff, Spam, or Brighton will go on some sort of run of wins?

And there was certainly not a lack of effort out there, with the exception of Bobby P, who was a disgrace as per usual. They were just unable to cope with the spoiling tactics from a spoiling side, who were play-acting from the first minute. WFC are lacking in that way, it is a fault, but it doesn't demonstrate a lack of effort.

It took 55 minutes for Palace to get their second attempt on our goal today. Their later efforts only came because we were stretched as we chased an equaliser. Far from having a "mare" as others have said, we coped pretty well in defence for 89 minutes of the game.

Sadly, it was our lack of a goalscorer that let us down again. Deeney was getting stuck in between the centre circle and their area, but he seems entirely incapable of trying to make space for himself in the area, he is the opposite of a natural goalscorer. The result is that every time someone looks up to put in a cross, they see Deeney standing still next to at least two bigger defenders.

And why on earth, when 90% of our corners go to the near lost, can't we put someone there? Mind-boggling!

And why can't Pearson make early changes when we are losing and clearly struggling. If only to give their defence something new to think about, or give players some more minutes.

So many aspects to our game we can improve on.

Right so because Sarr is more expensive he gets more time to settle...that's the argument you and A1 made.

What exactly are you expecting of Pusseto?

Oh bless you. Thank you for visiting our forum.

As I watched your mighty warriors I was continually impressed how not one of them whined or raged, or abused the referee. So meek and mild! At one point I assumed you were not a football team but actually 11 nuns such was the amazing integrity you showed.

When Zaha was booked for blatant pull did he complain? No he accepted the yellow card and meekly walked away***.

When Zaha was just booked he showed a lot of integrity by not then diving at the next opportunity when Hughes was near him to try and get a player booked***

When Zaha poked Capoue in the face all of your players backed off and allowed the ref to make the decision. Not one of them continued to bicker and whine both at the ref and Capoue.***

There are countless other examples of course. I think you have made your point. Crystal Palace played this game with a level of decorum I haven't seen in my life. I would love to watch such a decent team as Palace every week who just go out to play football and have fun.***

*** = not only not the truth but 100% the opposite of the truth

Pearson reckons we played well. Hmm, I'm not so sure, we were a bit flat. Had a good spell of pressure in the second half, but not many clear chances created.

Not many teams in this league can play their way through 10 players sitting deep, even the best teams have trouble doing that, so of course we were going to struggle to break Palace down. Suits us better to sit in, then press aggressively and counter quickly.

Missed Geri, he gives defenders something to worry about. Pererya was poor, needed to be replaced earlier and should be dropped for next week. Can't afford to send out the message that a performance like that is acceptable.

    Corners seriously need looking at.

Substitutions too slow when it's clear we need to change it up.

Silly taking Troy off when we were going to be launching it long in the final few minutes. (did it most of the game mind you!)

Not much in the game, a draw would have been a fair result I reckon.

No but long term, what do you expect he will be able to contribute to the team? What sort of player do you expect him to become? Better/worse than Bobby? Better/worse than Gerry? Better/Worse than Sarr?

The fact he has played 4 times would suggest Pearson doesn't agree with your opinion. If a poor player was foisted upon us Pearson is not forced to play him.

It is very difficult to suggest Sema is the answer more than Pussetto. They are both squad players.

As has frequently been the case this season, reading the after match comments seems far more entertaining than the football itself.

He was probably brought in as a squad player. I would assume? He doesn't need to be the best in the team, but give us back up when we get injuries.

It doesn't matter how many points there are to play for. We so far have taken 27 points out of a possible 87. It's delusion to think that will change. That leaves us looking at something like 33 points total. Maybe 34.

It's easy to see Bournemouth and Villa overcoming that total IMO.

Of course, they may not in which case you will be proven right, but I doubt mid 30s will be enough for survival.

I've been through enough disappointments watching this team of cowards for a year now to know that today was their true and real level. This is what we've been seeing from them for months now, with isolated incidents like last Saturday to flatter and deceive.

We have the games to stay up. We have the points to play for. We just don't have the players to take them.

That either speaks about the quality of our squad in general or the quality of pusseto, depending on your point of view.

Conversely, the fact that he endured 70 minutes of Pereyra all but refusing to soldier today before bringing pusseto on, perhap suggests that Ignacio is just one more poor option in our squad of poor options.

Pereyra doesn't take on players anymore, he doesn't scare defenders, he doesn't tackle.

These are his stats for the 16 minutes he was on compared to Pereyra. What I expect to see is someone who wants to be here and plays like he does and show some consistency - he's got some pace which will push fullbacks backwards, so let's see what he can do over 90 minutes and through a run of games.

You never know the highy rated youngster at Huracan might re-emerge.

I would like to point out that the showing of the man who plays Harry The Hornet out of costume on the big screen before the game was one of the most disgraceful things I've seen by a football club.

    Hope he sues the ****s.

There was none. They were showing a montage of Palace goals against Watford, then it changed to Harry, in a dressing room of sorts with no costume head on. Then switched back to another montage.

Your having a laugh, bully boy tactics? You clearly watch watford twice a season.
Ok I agree wwe couldn’t brake you down today and you deserved the win just.
But if you were playing against Zaha you’d do the same. And as for the ref bottling it, yes he did should of sent the whiniest player the premier league has ever seen off for his normal Olympic rehearsal.

Think you need to look in the mirror. Two teams lacking imagination battle it out and one takes a chance and wins. Bully boy tactics from both sides. Sums up most of our games in recent times.

You deserved the points because your scored more goals than us. That's a great reason (in fact the best in football), but don't get giddy.

Yes it is, my exact quote was:

"I was willing to give Sarr time because I'd already seen that he has a lot of quality. Plus he was just 21 when he joined. Meanwhile I've seen little of that quality or potential from Pussetto in either his cameos or his previous highlights."
