I would take Sarr off though. Rest him now and tell him it’s the biggest game of his short career on Tuesday .
Chelsea are better individually but we're not helping ourselves by giving Barclay the freedom of West London.
We have consistently made the most overrated english player of all time (and there is a lot of competition) look like ******* Pele
When we conceded that pen, you can clearly hear Pearson say f$#k it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Kiko and Hughes look ok. Freddie has hardly had a look in. Everyone else is two or three levels below Chelsea.
Watford are playing like me when I was a kid and got a new football computer game. Defend, panic and hoof it forward.
Crying out for a striker to come on and give Deeney some support. We finally bring Welbeck on for Capoue... AND HE STICKS HIM OUT WIDE. I GIVE UP!!!!
Pearson has to take some blame here. We honestly cant keep a sustained attack atm and that's because we are so negative. 1 upfront and we cant hold the ball up as a result.
Another pathetic performance, no positivies whatsoever to take from that West Ham got under Chelsea's skin, ruffled their feathers and came away with 3 points. All we did was give them an extra weekend training session The assumption that we will get 3 points against Norwich on Tuesday is hilarious, failing to win that game will be the final nail in the coffin for the 'mentality' of this squad and will confirm our relegation
Training game for Chelsea. We should be fresh for Tuesday as we have done nothing to warrant breaking sweat!
DW has to start the remaining games. We managed to keep the ball for more than a nanosecond when he came on.
One of Deeney's worst performances in a Watford shirt. He was naturally our outlet for Foster and the defence but won just two of his nine aerials all game. In a week where his abilities and fitness levels were questioned, he did absolutely nothing to silence, rather add fuel to the angry mob's fire, as he was dominated in the air by Zouma from start to finish. At this point, I genuinely think we might be better starting with 10 men, rather than with Deeney - at least starting with 10 men, we wouldn't be turning over possession as often in the opposition half by playing the ball into an unfit, pathetic excuse of a striker. Lack of discipline from Capoue is really inexcusable. Firstly, him and Deeney gifting Chelsea a couple of soft free-kick opportunities on the edge of the box, before his wreckless challenge for the penalty. From the moment he came into picture on the screen, you just knew it was not going to end well. This shouldn't be happening for two from two of the most experienced players in our team. Both of our shots in the first half finished probably 40 yards from the Chelsea goal combined - Dawson's long-range 'effort' and Chalobah's absolute monstrosity of a free kick. Masina's second-half attempt being our first shot on target in 162 minutes of PL football speaks volumes. None of our forwards or midfielders have produced a shot on target in the last two games - Deeney, Sarr, Doucoure did not muster a single shot between them today, which has to be a HUGE concern. Laughed at how we ****ed up an open goal at the end after Welbeck's magic. It did turn into a training exercise at times in the second half for Chelsea - we were chasing shadows, or attempting to, for large parts. The only positives are that we looked more organised defensively for the large part than we did in the last two games. Final quarter with Welbeck up top shows what's possible when we keep the ball on deck with some intelligent running in the channels - he looked dangerous today and hope that he's forced a start over Deeney for midweek.
Deeney display disgusting. Capoue display disgusting. If Pearon plays either of them at home to Norwich he is an utter, utter clown.
Another game, another embarrassment. I don’t think any of us were really naive enough to truly expect to get a result tonight, but we deserve to see a better performance than that. We never competed. Not for one minute did we threaten to take the points. Only at 2-0 down in the 80th minute did we appear to want to try to score. We aren’t a Championship team anymore, just pleased to get a bit of revenue for visiting Stamford Bridge in the cup. We’re a Premier League side and have been for 5 years. We should at least be making them work for their win. The gap shouldn’t be that big. You always hear managers/players say how hard it is to face a struggling side who has everything to play for and will fight tooth and nail to get the points. We haven’t even seen that though. It’s the minimum requirement for a side low on quality and we aren’t doing it. The result, in the context of this weekend, isn’t a disaster. Bournemouth lost by 3 as well and you would have to assume that Liverpool will put their game against Man City behind them and beat Villa for us tomorrow. But the manner of the defeat is once again cause for concern. We have 3 games ahead of us to save our Premier League status and unless we improve dramatically on our last 3 outings then we’re going down without a whimper.
Iconic Two frauds who are realising that the pigeons are coming home to roost. The only one missing is Gino
I am not sure what will happen to me if that happens. I'll probably start frothing at the mouth in the street like some kind of animal.
Hopefully Nige will have noted the marked improvement in our performance after our chubby, pug-faced 'talisman' got the hook
Agree. And that's what makes the lackluster performances in the winnable games against Burnley and Southampton so frustrating and unforgivable. We need 100% commitment in the final games or were down. Deservedly so too.
The one positive is we looked much better without Deeney in the last 25 minutes. That has to be how we start games moving forward. Troy is going to have to settle for a spot as impact sub if we want to stay up. Hughes excellent. Welbeck was quite bright. Hughes, Doucoure & Cleverley / Chalobah middle three on Tuesday. Capoue doesn’t deserve to start after that. Feel way more positive after this than I do our last two complete no shows. At least we got some entertainment for 15 mins and a slight glimmer of hope. Have to agree Pearson needs to take some of the blame for this. Congratulations to Danny for coming on and proving that's what was needed from the start. Nice cameo from him and Masina who were always looking to go forward.
