Reminds me of us against Palace, they absolutely battered us and Almunia saved us like Westwood is atm. Wonder if it'll be like that game or like the QPR V Derby game, where QPR got battered and then won.

After getting used to all the over the top celebrations and sheer joy Wednesday's showed when they robbed us of the title in the final minute last season, it's heart-breaking seeing the anguish on their little faces right now.

The Championship is the home of the MASSIVE clubs. It's where Wednesday belong and I'm thrilled for them.

 

I agree...the lower down the leagues they go, the more massive they become. That must be a comforting thought for them.

Wednesday got to the play-off final without beating any of their top six rivals en route so I suppose promotion would have been at least a season too early. Still annoyed that a club a fraction of their size and support can make it to the Premier League for the third time in less than a decade, but of course it's the team on the pitch that counts.

And I hate to say it, but given the way Fessi struggled to impose himself today, perhaps we haven't missed him as much this season as people like to make out. Vydra on the other hand...

 

Didn't think it was possible to lose a Playoff Final with more of a whimper than us against Palace but Wednesday just managed it. At least we had Deeney's header that went just wide and Forestieri's shot cleared off the line. I don't think Wednesday even had a shot after going behind until Helan spooned that one over in the last minute.

 

We should sign Forestierei now.

 

i think it would be foolhardy to write off both Hull and Burnley next season. Yes I agree neither (currently) look that special and obviously weren't great last time they were in the PL but they are more PL savvy than had Brightn, Derby or Wednesday come up. Two PL savvy managers too. Both could be well organised at the back and it will be a question of how many goals they manage to score.

Hopefully of course we won't have to bother ourselves next season with who the relegation candidates are!
