Good work Hull. 10 years since a team last won a Play Off Semi Final 1st leg 3-0. Wonder who that was?

He's always struck me as a thoroughly decent, honest man.

It was just the fact that he was doing the punter thing instead of being a manager and being with his players post match. Sounds like it was probably a media requirement that the League has signed up for though

 

And that's without even mentioning what happened the last time they did manage to get out of the league.

 

I mean there's no real way of making it fair other than getting rid of them but as the team who finished third I'd much rather be guaranteed a place in the final. I'm sure a two week break would be welcomed, maybe they could sort out a nice warm weather camp in Marbella...

All hypothetical though obviously, I can't see them changing the current system any time soon.

Top 2 of Championship go up. Bottom 2 of PL go down, 18th PL plays 3rd in the championship as the playoff.

 

Yup the same system as Germany who incidently have just 18 Bundesliga teams ... you can have too much of a good thing.

Sounds a bit like what happened at Brighton last night, 1-1 doesn't tell the whole story.

The Owls were really battered during the first half and were lucky not to be losing at least 1-0 HT - these play-off semis can be really intense.

 

That's it. Hull are through to the final. Should be a good game.

 

Hope Wednesday stuff them. Fecking hate Hull fans.

 

This set of Play Offs has so far been a triumph at upsetting tw@tty Championship wingers - last night Knockaert, tonight Tom Ince. All it needs now is for Hull to lose at Wembley so El Mohamady can also start crying. Icing on the cake would be Forestieri's redemption.

Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from the Hull fans at the end there. Hope they find the guy that decided to follow Keogh around shouting in his face and slap him with a ban. The game was played in quite a good spirit I thought, no need for all the goading of the Derby players and staff at the end.

 

Reminded me of the Dull fans when we lost up there in the playoffs. No doubt they were throwing things into the away supporters while their idiot manager was popping champagne corks. Bunch of chavvy *****.

I always said Forestieri would score the goal that secured our promotion, if he does the business for Wednesday at Wembley, I'll celebrate as if it was us.

 

TBH I don't see either ull or wendys have what it takes to stay up, should be a cracking final tho

 

I didn't realise Hull were such a tiny club. Loads of empty blocks in their upper tier at Wembley.

 

Just saw that, really surprised there are so many empty, shame as Sheff Weds could have sold a load more, I suppose most their fans have already been to wembley and their fanbase is really only based in Hull, i suppose no different when we could not sell out cardiff.

 

Loads of empty seats in the lower tier away from the halfway line too. Looks more like a League 1 final at the Hull end.

 

Hull or Wednesday: Who do we want to win?

I choose Wednesday, even though the heartache of Fessi would be very hard to take.

 

It's still painful seeing Fessi in another team's kit and hearing another fanbase singing 'Oh Forestieri'

 

I want Wednesday, but I still dislike them after last season's last minute goal. I only want them because I don't think they're defensively good enough to stay up.

Forestieri sort of showing why he left. I absolutely love him, but he's still far too inconsistent, he's hardly touched the ball in this first half. Can't see how he'd have fitted into our team, although I would have liked to keep him as an option off the bench.
