I read an article early about how excited he is about a man utd youth player they've just signed on loan, so something must have happen even more recently that lead to the sacking. He will never succeed as a manager.

It does work, and has. Plenty of occasions where top managers have done it to overall positive effect. Clough, Ferguson, Mourinho, Guardiola…they’ve all done it.

But Deeney isn’t a top manager - and has been there for no time at all. He thinks his ‘personality’ means he should be able to get away with that type of management technique - but it’s only those with kudos and reputation at actual football management who could ever do so.

 

To think some people on here entertained the thought of the bozo managing us one day.

He's lasted even less time than the average Pozzo appointment.

This is clearly all part of an elaborate ruse by us to get Luton to appoint Deeney once Edwards gets poached by Palace - after which point Troy will bring down our rivals from the inside.

 

What this whole thing has shown is that pundits do not make good managers. Especially not pundits who are made for Talk***** like Deeney is 100% ending up. Calling out players after such a short amount of time just showed he didn't know what he's doing. Criticising players in interviews etc fine in my eyes, but only if either you are asked about said player or if it's been an issue for a long period of time, player has been spoken with in private and training and match performances haven't improved.

 

Gone from the moment he slated the team.
