"Big Pete" Mahoney

I am actually in shock, I don't often come on the forums anymore and had not been made aware of what had happened until neil just informed me. I have known Pete for many years, like many on here, going back to the old forums and have spent many an away game drinking with him.

Pete truly was the nicest, most genuine person that anyone could ever wish to meet. He never had a bad word to say about anyone and could always be found with a smile on his face.

I actually ran into him in Sheffield during the match.

Pete you really were an amazing guy who has been taken from this world much too soon.

A few drinks will be drunk in Portsmouth in your honour.

A stiring speech by Pete's Nephew spoke volumes of who Pete was - a tear jerka of a speech and so well presented under such emotional strain.

WFC flower arrangemnent looked great, a large turnout of family and friends and a little beer to say farewell a great send of to this wonderful friend.

RIP Pete mate, you will be missed.... but if you can stay out of the heavenly pubs for 90 minutes can you trip a few portsmouth players over today at important times, with those new angel wings....
