I assume its not a loan. If so it would be interesting to see how much we paid. I know he was out of contract at the end of the summer
Good signing. Munari to sign permanently and a young Premier League attacking midfielder to sign next week on loan. #hearditherefirst
It's a disaster... we'll have to play in our change tops... a ginge will just about go with black and white stripes Disaster..... :dismay:
According to WhoScored.com, Watson's rating has been 6.77 this season playing in Centre Midfield. This is the same or higher rating than: Demarai Gray Odion Ighalo Roston Drenthe Ikechi Anya Shaun Maloney Jonathan Hogg Tommy Hoban Chris Burke Adam Le Fondre I'd happily say that he has performed well (in a sh** team) and will only improve.
I am too. Underwhelmed really. He was an annoying engine of a player at Palace, so I've always looked out for him, but apart from being typically niggly and gobby when he's played us in recent times, he's been slower and unimpressive. Ten matches this season and not been on a winning side. Hope that the change of scenery and teammates end that straightaway.
Sky Sports says he's signed until the end of the season, I'd have thought 18 months minimum even with his recent injury history.
The rumour is that the players are already sick of him talking about his FA Cup final header and he will be shipped on loan to Forest Green.
Not expecting much, but all he has to do is kick 5hit out of the opposition and let our flair players do the rest
Going to buck the trend and say I think he's a good signing for us. He will battle and make a nuisance of himself. We've not had that type of player since Hogg. He probably won't be a starter every week, but when we play teams that just want to close us down, he's going to be very useful to us. Loads of Championship experience and home grown. Hopefully he will give the team an edge.
Absolutely, he ticks a lot of boxes. Despite what the Wigan fans are saying Malky implies it came down to them not being able to afford to keep him beyond the end of the season:
MM left us for financial reasons (rightly scared of Baz) Now we have the Pozzo`s and he is having to watch the pennies at Wigan ,funny how things pan out! Incidentally I think if Ben stays fit I think he will be a very useful asset to the squad.
Prudent, if there are doubts about his recovery from injury. Just so long as this isn't another example of the Pozzo-era short-term thinking that everything can be solved by bringing over a few people in the next transfer window.
I think people are going to be disappointed if they expect Watson to "kick the 5hit out of the opposition" and replace Hogg in or squad He really isn't that type of player
The good thing about missing 2 seasons through broken legs is he will have lower than average mileage #shouldntneedacambeltchange
oh FFS not another poncy Englishman we need a johnny foreigner with no championship experience to kick the 5hit out of the opposition
