Look everybody wants him to do well it's a blatantly obvious statement. It doesn't stop it being one hell of a strange signing and how anyone can justify it any other way please do because I'm eagerly anticipating your replies.

 

The beauty of this signing is that our forwards have set the bar so low that everyone can be right. He can be utterly crap and still improve the squad. Let's be honest, he will contribute more than the likes of Perica and Success. He can jog around and still cover more ground, more quickly and get in the box more than Deeney. He can control a football a couple of times a game and be better technically than Gray.

It is genuinely amazing that we got promoted with only Pedro as even a semi competent striker.

 

Many people seem to have just accepted that Perica is/was no good, but as fans I don’t think we have any real evidence of that based on his game time. We have only seen him play a tiny amount of one season and he seemed OK, unlike Gray and Success who we’ve suffered for years. Having said that, I’m quite happy to trust the manager’s judgement in hardly ever picking him, so I can only assume he must have been terrible in training.

 

Come on, he's going to be good for us. Embrace the Fletch!

 

I drew my own conclusions on Perica when he ran away from the ball in the box against Bournemouth in the 90th odd minute.

 

I've concluded that Perica is quite possibly the worst striker in existence purely because Andre Gray and Isaac Success played ahead of him. Andre Gray and Isaac Success are absolute gash. I don't know if I've mentioned that before.

 

Stop trying to make 'Fletch' happen, it's not going to happen!

The lack of game time is the evidence.

Perica was the fifth choice striker after Pedro, Success, Gray and Deeney. Surely that tells you everything you need to know.

For what it is worth I also thought he was pretty awful in the little game time he had.

 

This and the fact he's basically done f**k all and scored f**k all goals his entire career.

Terrible, pointless signing.

I hear Daniel Bachmann persuaded him to join Muff by telling him than he was rubbish at the game last night

 

What squad number do we think Fletch will get next season? 9, 18 and 22 will hopefully be up for grabs. Personally I think he should be given the number 9, give him a confidence boost.

I really should make more of an effort in reading these threads. Still, good news on Fletch. Hoping that Fletch signs as soon as possible so we can see Fletch holding the brand new shirt with 'Fletch' on the back.

 

Looks like we've got another Fletch fan.

 

Hope we are still leading the chase to sign this chevy.

 

Something was obviously not good about Perica because he never got picked, but in the handful of games he did play he would have got winning goals against both Bournemouth and Brentford but for inept refereeing. He definitely could finish if nothing else.

 

So was this a wind up?

 

It's looking that way. If so credit is due, as it has been superbly crafted by those involved.....

 

It would be great if it was a windup, as it will be excellent to see the ITK stattos untangle themselves from their ITK outlook on it being a shrewd signing, this despite them never having even contemplated suggesting him before he was rumoured.

 

If so its one of the best wind ups since >40 years ago my school mates and I invented a fictional classmate, added him to the register, regularly submitted the most appalling spider scribble homework in his name etc and kept it going for several months before teachers twigged. Couldn't do it now with digital records.. The head was so impressed we avoided the cane.

 

I often swapped classes with my mate at school just to see how long we could drag it out.
I can remember that technical drawing was boring as *****

 

I can see us pulling out of this deal only for Fletcher to score 35 goals next season and be valued at £30m.
