Because unlike you and your cadre, I don't settle for mediocrity.

Ok Hornetgags, you are correct. The other 95% are right. I bow to them and i'll change my opinion just for you. Obviously, it is completely wrong that myself and a few others don't feel Dyche should be sacked, 2 months into a season ....

  3. hornetgags

So for that reason you're backing him??? And I get criticised!!!!

Goodnight, kiss the Dyche poster on your wall.

Because when we are past the point of no return and up sh!t creek, I don't want the reason we backed an incompetent manager who got us relegated to be loyalty.

There is no loyalty in football, if we go down and we will with Dyche at the helm, we will not bounce back and do a Norwich, we will end up like the Sheffield clubs...

12 games into a season is too early to be sacked. End of. Give the guy a break and get behind the team, do you really think your constant negativity helps/motivates the team?

Good to see your keeping up your posting record, another patronising post to end the evening.

I'd argue that for all bar a few years in the last 20 being a Watford fan has been all about accepting mediocrity. As for criticism, everyone is entitled to an opinion.

How do you know this? Flip side, what if we went down, spent a maximum of 2 years there, were forced to play our youngsters who became better players and we came back into the championship with momentum like Norwich did?

And why are you even talking about relegation? 12 GAMES IN!!

I'm sure the team who are earning 5 times my salary couldn't give a crap about me being negative or the fact we have a moron in charge.

And before you even think it, I don't have a Twitter account so it wasn't me abusing Loach.

I'd be careful if I were you though wfcthroughandthrough; in the current climate of this forum you are heading for a ban.

I've no need to go crying to anyone, and what Admin does he feels it's the right thing to do.But to put it bluntly you do not have one positive thing to say about the Manager, the players or even the club.
The reason supporters go to games is because they Support the club, and when those players come out to play we clap them(for support)and they clap us back.We all hope that we do well no matter who the manager is,or who the players are.We all stride for success.

Do you think the supporters would be going tomorrow if there was no hope,of course not,and I praise them for supporting us through thick and thin, and rather than attacking anyone constantly you should show some support or what is the point in you going or even posting on sites like this.

I listened to Leicester supporters moaning that they should be in the top 2 of the division after beating us.Football supporters in general are never happy unless they are winning.
If you think this is a low point in our History, then you should look back at losing at home 3-0 to Grimsby and watching fans storm across the pitch and in to the directors box to get Petchey out.
This is nothing compared to that season.

I wish I could go tomorrow but work comes first, but I will still travel over 200 miles to home games to support us no matter where we are in the league, and you know why? Because in that 1 game I may miss something I may regret.Yellow blood in my vains.

If Dyche doesn't play youngsters now what makes you think he will play them in League when promotion out of that league is crucial to our survival?

If he's not playing them now, he never will.

12 games in, 2 wins in 12, -11 goal difference and no goals scored in 3 games, 3 straight defeats - are you telling me that's survival form? At this rate we're looking at upper 30 points...which is relegation form. The team is dead in the water, confidence is gone, belief has gone on the pitch and in the stands.

It's no longer a case of if but when...

Ok tell me the positives so far please, anyone from the Pro-Dyche brigade?

What are the positives so far?

  16. hornetgags

Is a positive that Gilmartin is being sent out on loan? So he's destroyed the confidence of our main keepers?

Tell me please how his man-management has a positive effect of the squad...please someone, anyone....

Or could it be, Dyche is completely clueless?

  17. tom1wat

On the contrary, YOU don't get it. How is being so negative helping the team? And does a few poor results & performances justify vilifying the manager?

    Positives -
    1. Depth of squad unseen for years.
    2. Experience in squad unseen for years.
    3. Owner who at the present time appears prepared to invest in the team.
    4. Currently outside of the relegation zone.

Well short of the East Stand being re-built overnight, GT inventing an elixir of life and announcing his return to the dugout I'm not really sure what else you want from me? We all know full well we aren't playing as well as we are capable of but you've just got to have faith that it will improve.

  20. hornetgags

    hornetgags McMuff's lovechild

So none of our promising youngsters are being played and the awful performances by your own admission, these are reason to keep the faith?

Sorry if anything you convinced me even more Dyche should be sacked now.

  21. tom1wat

Yeah, none of our promising youngsters are being played and that God for that. If they were you're exactly the sort of moron that would boo and jeer them every time they made a mistake, which believe me, would be more often than Chris Iwelumo, David Mirfin or any of your other targets owing to their relative inexperience.

Is it positive that in the Hull thread you said it would be worth going to clap the goals that they scored

    and

Is it positive that you hoped we lost every game under Bassett..

To me those two statements prove to everyone who is clueless, your no supporter of this club, and I hope you never go again, cos with statements like that who would want you anywhere near them!!!

That is over a quarter of the way through the season, do you think we have got better or worse since the start of the season?

    Two honest questions for you which you can ignore if you wish;

Firstly, are you and IRB brothers or lovers?

Secondly - despite your bias, can you not see how he has been behaving like a terwat on here?

There have been some great debates on here over the last couple of days and they have only been spoilt by idiots such as IRB trying to be funny.

Just catching up with all this as I don't get much time on here these days.
I am disappointed that we are not scoring goals. Three games 8 against and non scored is not good. If we were loosing but scoring it would seem better and give us something to cheer about at the match. We have bought in 'experienced players' but honestly I would rather see a mix with some of our youngsters giving it 100%. Iwelumo actually looked OK for the first 20 mins on Wednesday but then seem to go back to not chasing /missing headers. I just think a couple of youngsters would add the enthusiasm we seem to be missing in a lot of the players (not all).

    Hornetgags;

    Positive,
We are better defensively than last year
    We have a left back
Sordell playing for the u21s has increased his value
Idiots like you may not continue to follow the club
    Eustace stayed
Dyche has agreed we need to improve and has made team changes accordingly. He's looking for the solution.

You mention not accepting mediocrity, what did you really expect? Top half? Pushing for playoffs? Automatic promotion? When/if we drop into the bottom 3 and stay there for a while the board need to consider dyches position, not now.

And what I want is for us to compete, show signs that Dyche has a plan and a style of play he's trying to instil. So far we've seen neither. If I at least saw that then he'd get my support.

Fair enough, I don't disagree with that. Rather than try and instil his style of play on the team I think Dyche is still trying to work out his style of play, other attributes of a decent manager are there and I sincerely hope that he works it out and gets it right and soon. No disagreement that if it continues like the last 3 games, then he can't stay indefinately.

Just had a look at the stats and you can look at it both ways, last season we'd conceded 16 goals in 12 league games and were about to go on to concede 6 more in the next two. This year we've conceded 20 in 12 but includes having lost 4-0 twice to teams on good form. From what I've seen we just look a little more comfortable at the back but don't have the goals at the other end to make the games more competitive.

You can massage stats to tell any story you like, the real proof of how poor we are can be taken just by watching us play.

But this is the crux of the issue, if he doesn't know what style of play he wants then why on earth was he given the job?

  34. hornetboy1

Personally I didn't have an issue with Dyche being given the job at the time. I have been supportive of him as it does take time to get the team playing as you would like, but he has to win the confidence of the team. It is blatently obvious to me, that the players are not playing for him. They are not pressing the opposition, they do not get in their faces, they just stand off and let them play. When we do get the ball we are deliberately slow in the build up. The players know what they are doing and I think are trying to get Dyche the sack with their deliberate under performance. It is not all players, but there is enough for it to make a difference. I think the experienced pro's we have should hang their heads in shame.

  35. hornetgags

    hornetgags McMuff's lovechild

I understand but proving that is impossible given that they could be under instruction from Dyche to play that way. Also for the record I didn't have a problem with his appointment, it's just from the games I've seen I believe he is in way over his head and will only get worse.
