Abdi So what's the deal with his injury? Is it more serious than the club are telling us? Bloke on Twitter says that he's been told that he's out til the new year and isn't even training. Obviously no proof of that but it seems strange that he's been out for so long. Also, how badly do you think we miss him? Perhaps with this Thorne fella coming in, it means McEachran can push further forward into the 'Abdi role'?
Why would Zola have said just last week that he was not available for Huddersfield but expected him to be available after the international break? Are you saying he is a liar?
Seen Abdi a few times in and around The Vic over the last few months, looked fine to me, was walking normally
Complicated injury I think, to do with connective tissue of the ball of the foot to the heel. Ridiculously painful at times but other times feels as if nothing is wrong, need to be careful but hopefully back soon.
There's no blood supply to tendons and so if he's got inflamed or damaged tendons in his foot, they'll take an age to heal. And be really painful as you have to walk about and aggravate it all the time. Although I'm much older and no pro sports guy, I've got tendonitis in my left foot and haven't been running since March, waiting for the inflammation to ease - I used to do 6 miles a day and its frustrating as heck. Orthotics can take months to take effect - clearly nobody saying what Abdi has but torn hamstrings can heal faster than damaged feet.
Since Abdi got injured we have won 13 points from 6 games. When we get our best player back , hopefully next game, it is exciting to think of what our points accumulation can become.
He will have the best possible treatment. His importance to the squad will make sure of it. I'm certain that if this was a long term issue the fans would have heard something from the club. Their silence during this international break is promising. Maybe I'm just an optimist.
Best possible treatment is rest, plus a few cortisone injections in the sole of your foot which isn't fun.
If we only win 12 points from 6 when he returns, we will be able to prove beyond doubt that he was the weak link all along. This injury could prove a blessing in disguise.
According to sources at the club, he's starting to get feeling back in the lower part of his body and can almost blink unaided. Hopefully back for Friday.
Damn we are really missing abdi at the moment, really need to get back fit again soon but I imagine its going to be quite a while until we get the almen we know back.
Is there really no-one with any info on Abdi? Half you idiots claim to be ITK but realistically you know ****. DO NOT post a transfer rumour, any of you. I will relentlessly pursue your lies.
Abdi is still not match fit, it got confirmed for me Saturday. Don't ask how, do your own bloody work. #itk
