I'm sure this topic has been done before but since the Search facility on here is as useful an ashtray on a motorbike and there is nothing else going on ...

Luther Blissett is mine. At the time it was Ross Jenkins and he's still my second all time favourite but with the passage of time and all that it's Blissett.

Interesting contrast especially age differences etc, having only seen since the 02/03 season there's not a lot of choice in comparison to others, although I hold Danny Graham in very high regard.

I suppose another good question would be which player most embodies our club, to have played for us. Would provide an insight on how different posters view the club and different players...

Hodges would be up there for me. When he was on song he was unplayable, when both Hodges and Ramage were playing well we were fantastic.

All time top 5 would be
    HH
    Luther
    Barnes
    Neilson
    Hodges

Has to be Tommy Mooney, but I also have a soft spot for the variety of slightly useless tiny wingers we've had over the years - Nordin Wooter, Anthony MacNamee etc.

Luther number 1, but Barnes was also a favoutite of mine. I am not an England fan, but two memorable games were v Luxemberg when Luther scored a hat trick (plus one, I think) and a friendly v Brazil when Barnes scored the wonder goal. Great time to be a Watford fan, Cally, Les Taylor, Wilf, Steve Sherwood, etc. Heroes all.
