Jedinak, McArthur, Ledley. Their system requiring two sitters rather than a box to box midfielder. It's not that simple. He'd be brilliant for us in the Prem & could play for a variety of teams.

Fair point but he's extremely flexible though & can play deep very effectively. Still seems strange to me that Palarse would see him as surplus to requirements.

Whilst I would agree he has been fantastic ,part of the fun of a possible promotion ,would be to see who the owners might want to bring in .

    Pardew's an idiot.

In between his two spells here on loan Guedioura came off the bench a couple of times for Palace when they were on TV and he was brilliant. The fact that they only let him come back here when their safety was practically assured says it all.

Have no fear we have our very own superman who can play in any position...............

    "Troy Deeney" who else,!!!

Ighalo and Vydra can take care of business up front.

I think they should let you pick a team for a pre season friendly just to see what position everybody is given

I think Deeney could drop a job at left wing back.

You think he could take a sh!t while playing left wingback?

To be fair, I don't think anyone here would kick up a stink.

If Lineker can manage it why shouldn't Troy be able to? ... is it a size problem?

His last game vs Brighton under the emergency loan deal, then back to Palace so assume he won't be at the Vic on 2nd May.

Influential skillful game changer, will be fitting if he repeats his 2 goal farewell at the end of his last loan period vs Cardiff. Really enjoyed watching him.

Won't be at Brighton so can all 'Orns pls give him a brilliant send-off with "Sign im up" chants etc.

Thankyou Adiene, and Cheers. Hope to see you back permanently.

Hugely influential player - hoping his sublime pass that led to igloos goal vs Derby is the difference between autos and play offs

At Forest I recall being constantly amazed at his receiving the ball in a tight spot, laying it off inch perfectly to a colleague and then appearing in space to receive the ball in a completely different area of the pitch that he'd not possibly had time to arrive at: pure class. And the two passes v Derby and Boro that led to goals; also the interview post match at Derby when he said 'I'm k-nackered'
Great bloke and a fabulous player.

Palace aren't playing til the 3rd so every likelihood he'll be watching from the stands/bench on the 2nd.

You're right ... I really felt for him when Villa called him back and he missed the Leicester game.

His 90 minutes at Derby was arguably the performance of the season. Had we lost that, and we would have without him, I think we'd be fighting for a playoff place right now. He played like three men that night.

I can barely even remember pre-Guedioura, and I'd say that's partly because I don't want to. Looking at our squad, this is one player that is largely irreplaceable. We're a properly functioning team with him, and without him....well, I think it'll just be a case of holding your breath against Sheffield Wednesday. Hopefully the eleven men we field will just go berserk enough that it won't matter.

Guedioura will be in the stadium against Wednesday. I have absolutely no doubt about that.

Obviously not counting the Udinese ones

He's proven himself to be everything that a loanee player should be. I'd imagine we'll find a way to sign him, wherever we end up next season.

Is he eligible to still play for Palace this season?

I would imagine he is as he is their player, therefore if he is picked for their matchday squad on the 3rd I doubt he would be allowed to attend our game on the 2nd as he would probably be in training for Palace's game.

However, if he is not in their squad for Sunday 3rd I am pretty sure he will be at The Vic cheering the guys on!!!

I love Pep as much as the next guy but as someone else pointed out, our record was pretty decent, even when he went back. I'd say we looked a properly functioning team during:

    Watford 5-0 Charlton
    Watford 7-2 Blackpool
    Brentford 1-2 Watford
    Watford 3-0 Rotherham

He only played 7 minutes of Fulham 0-5 Watford, too.

Great player, but let's not forget who we've got in our squad.

If we do win the title, he's up for a winner's medal.

There's no way he won't be around to collect on that and get a picture with the squad. Pardew would have to be an absolute **** to try and stop him from being there to collect an honour he helped win just because there is a Palace match the next day.

I believe they play Chelsea then.

With Jedinak back and Ledley,Puncheon and McArthur he doesn't really get a look in as someone said of the other fred.

I'd be very surprised if he's not with us both in May and next season, but I've been wrong before!
