Adidas - Technical Partner Of Watford FC

It's the same except for the weird stripes that are almost identical to our 15/16 kit and which looked absolutely awful...

 

Seeing the Adidas logo was weirdly satisfying.

 

I would really like to have a black and yellow vertical striped kit (not hooped), with black shorts and socks. Maybe with the players name, sponsors logo and team badge in red, to allow for those who think we should always have red somewhere in the kit.

 

I like it,although I haven't cleaned my spectacles yet!

 

It's a template, it's not the end of the world. We probably signed up with Adidas too late to get a bespoke kit. West Brom have been with Adidas for a few years and have our template with stripes whacked on it. The yellow and red is pretty awful though, surprised the club didn't insist on yellow and black all through the kit, would have looked more classy.

 

I think it looks really smart. Like the new sponsor as well. I would have preferred yellow shorts with red stripes continued or a reverse of that. I think we will forever have colour problems with kits as we have a 3 colour logo and kits predominately feature 2 main colours and we force in a 3rd.

 

Do all the players have to wear green boots with this kit?

Based on the second picture, I actually really like it.

 

Any leaks on the away colours? I do hope it's bold and different.

 

The kids one (without the sponsor) looked really alright. It wasn't so visually cluttered.

 

Will the kit only be for sale in the hornet shop or as it's Adidas will they sell it in sport shops across the globe.

 

I see this seasons kit is quite baggy which means Deeney is probably staying fml

 

Having slept on it, I think the new shirt looks fairly decent actually, just nor a fan of the weird lines on the shoulders!

I quite like the red touches on the shirt though - it's been so long since red featured as the secondary colour.

I hope that the Adidas fanboys on here are crying into their cereal this morning

We did! First season in EPL, just swap red stripes for black. Guess you are in the red shorts camp as well. Also underwhelmed by the leaked picture but it is poor quality. Even the Dryworld shirt was better in the flesh than in the publicity, but do expect better quality from the Germans. Hopefully the away shirt might be more exciting and we could get a 3rd kit! COYHs.

It does look better in those pictures. Maybe I judged it too soon. Must remember not to repeat that mistake when we announce new signings

 

Very nice. The moaners on here will get angry about anything won't they? Even a LQ, blurry camera phone picture of one of our players wearing the new kit.

 

I like it. simple and classy. Expect a more bespoke kit next year.

 

The sponsor in bog standard type face with no styling makes it look a bit Southwest Herts on a Sunday morning. I like the shirt though.

Do we sell "our" red colour as part of the sponsorship package?

 

Looks like a hybrid of a Liverpool away kit from a couple years back and the 2008/9 BEKO kit we had. Absolutely *****. Not having enough time is a ******** excuse in the world we now live in. from December until now is plenty of time to have a bespoke kit in place.

 

I'd still like this if the kit was all black without the red stripes with same shorts and socks as home kit.

 

Funny really that Watford's colours were Blue, Cyan and White before 1959...exactly the reverse of Yellow, Red and Black

 

I actually don't mind the kit, could it be better, of course. I just like the fact we have sponsors we can be proud of. Seeing Adidas on a Watford shirt just shows how far we have come and gives me a sense of pride.

 

Wasn't it already stated that as we only signed with Adidas in December that we wouldn't have any say in next season's kit as it was too late, so we would be expecting something not much more than a yellow t-shirt. However the designs for the following season have been submitted so we should see something more appealing then.
