    BIG BIG GAME!!!

A win is needed as things are so tight, with B City doing so well recently we are just one point out of the bottom three along with about five or six other teams, it will be a tough one, but a win is very important!!!

How serious is the Sordell injury? And if he is out for Tuesday night will it be another fortuitous injury for Dyche, where he has to make enforced change that works? I don't wish Sordell any harm, but I think it could be!!!

Really? sounded like when he went off today, so did our goal threat...

You honestly think that Sordell needs to be dropped? He's our main (and perhaps only) goal threat as today showed.

If he isn't playing on Tuesday then I doubt our chances.

Yes exactly! When Eustace was injured, it gave Bauben the chance we were all crying out for. When Taylor was injured, we got Nosworthy in.

But if Marvin misses Tuesday, who comes in? Neither Beattie, Deeney nor Garner exactly look full of goals

We need sordell big time. Attack threat was poor today and it sounded like we were begging for Kightly to get hold of the ball. Had his shot been 2 inches towards goal, we could have won that.

Big game Tuesday. Would like to see Hogg come back in.

Will need to play tight on Adomah on Tuesday as he's been playing out of his skin recently and has a lot to do with Citys revival. If we can keep him and Maynard quiet then we can win otherwise not optimistic.

Went to watch Ipshyte today as couldn't make it to Donny due to work and if Sordell is fit we should be able to pick up 3 points next Saturday, as defensively they are really poor.

I can't see the Bristol City defence having any worries whatsoever if Emu and Beattie/Garner comprise our attack. If Sordell is not fit we can only hope for a 0-0 draw.

I feel our goal threat would then be limited to goals from midfielders, or defenders at corners/free kicks. None of our strikers bar Marv look to have goals in them.

I saw Bristol City down at Vicarage road last season, we were all over them until the last ten or so minutes, but that's when they scored the third goal. Consistency is always the key in football, and we really need a consistent striker (other than Sordell).

Having not seen Beattie play, & having only seen Garner play alonside Sordell, I would like to Garner given the chance as I think off a big man he could be a different threat

One thing is for sure, a win is required to continue this run of decentish form. A loss here could start our usual 2nd half of the season slide prematurely.

Forsyth up front? He's no winger, maybe he's a centre forward. Also I believe he's scored a many goals as Chris/Deeney/Beatie/Garner put together.

Thierry Henry was a winger, who converted to a striker, so maybe it could work for Forsyth, hopefully with equal success, but even if he managed a quarter of Henry's success when converted, it would be more than good enough for WFC!!!

Beattie will start. At the moment he lacks some match fitness but his lack of goals, 17 in 4 years, is a real worry. Garner has pretty much scored the same amount so we aren't exactly blessed.

This ain't going to be easy. They have a new manager, confidence and some belief. We must start well and need mapps and Noswothy to be on top form.

A goal from a surprise source and a 1 nil win for me

Or that Albert chap..which wing is he on as either ****o/Hodson will have a tough time!

Worried about our lack of pace.

Also watch out for those quick long throws!

The strikers who ever plays will need one thing, that is service, and I can not see anything but a watford win here.Bristol city are in good form, but we can stop that.

Well if Sordell is out who else should play up there? Iwelumo, Beattie? Donkeys, slow, terrible touches and not gonna score are they. Garner misses everything that comes his way. Worth a go without a doubt, I think he'd do well too.

Would have Garner + Emu up top. Hogg and Bauben in the middle. Garner has barely had a chance!

Possibly Garner yeah you're right to be fair, hardly played.

Wouldn't mind seeing Deeney up there either. I think if anything needs a mix up it's the front two isn't it as it's just not been working.

Possible lineup Watford vs Bristol City

With other games such as Millwall v Doncaster, Burnley v Ipswich going on tonight in the championship, this i feel is Watford's toughest and most important game to date. If results go our way today we could happily sit 16th place on 23 points, otherwise we could be in the relegation zone a point adrift with the team above having a game in hand.

I think it's safe to say that if a player is 50/50 on the day that he will not feature so my money is definitely on Sordell not featuring for us tonight, which leaves a very interesting situation of who to play up front and if they will score goals for us. I'm sure everyone has a very different opinion on this so looking forward to seeing the different team selections from you all.

My view is that we play the team that has been winning at home so that simply means Hogg in and Eustace out. Then I would replace the injured Sordell for Garner. The reason being that Garner is a similar player to Sordell and the Iwelumo/Sordell partnership has worked well on home turf. For Watford to win the game we need the injection of pace to match Bristol City and i believe Hogg and Garner are the answer. So my team is a s follows:

    GK - Loach

    RB - Hodson
    CB - Nosworthy
    CB - Mariappa
    LB - ****inson

    RW - Yeates
    CM - Hogg
    CM - Buaben
    LW - Kightly

    CF - Iwelumo
    CF - Garner

Subs - Bonham, Mirfin, Eustace, Deeney, Beattie
