On Bruce, it's still way too early, but initially he has demonstrated that he knows the capability of the players far better than Gullit, he's figured out how to arrange the defense so far fewer goals are given up...

Basically he's doing what you'd expect a manager to do, and that's miles ahead of where we were 3 months ago.

    OUCH

    Dreadful.

I'm really pissed off about MLS now, and generally somewhat drunk.

We are playing games during the International Game break. We lost 3 players to international duty again. RSL lost none. Our three were Eddie Lewis, Landon Donovan, and David Beckham, who are let's just say important to the composure of our team.

Toronto had it worse missing 9 men. They requested permission due to hardship to postpone the game, but MLS declined and instead offered them special one day contracts to sign 3 additional players so they could field a team...that's bloody outrageous! The scheduling issue is so fricking mickey mouse I can't stand it anymore.

Next the referees in MLS are so terrible I can't control myself at games anymore. Those *****s were too afraid to walk off without protection tonight even though they know Galaxy fans are non-violent. They knew they blew so many calls that they were in trouble. The most important call they blew thankfully was a perfectly legitimate goal in the 4' against the Galaxy. The rest of the game was a litany of missed and opposite calls. Just another such performance, but I've had it with this chicken sh*t league and the amateurish approach to everything.

The only thing that can help now would be to up the salary cap to bring in more capable and interesting players in the mid o lower ranges. If they don't make that change, I may not be renewing my season ticket next year.
I have NO hope of improved referreeing and little hope of scheduling improvements.

    SO MAD NOW Arrrrgh!

    I'm still pissed off.
Since AEG (the ownership group) took over day to day decision making about week 17, the results have been a miserable failure. The chart below shows our position in the single table week by week. It will be updated today or tomorrow to show the Galaxy at the very bottom.

The 2pm start time puts the game at a reasonable hour for you Engerlanders. This match looks good for the Galaxy, though it may be too late for us. Despite it all, with 23 points, we are still just two points away from the 25 the 2nd place team has...MLS is all about parity, and you can really see it in situations like this...

    Isaac's Preview.

    PS:
Rookie Bryan Jordan: one game, one goal, one assist.
Global Superstar Beckham: Last seven games, no goals, two assists.

    Jus' sayin'

A little something my homeboy Isaac dug up:
Forbes takes a look at MLS team values and profits

    - Galaxy are worth $100M and are the most profitable team in the league
    - Toronto has got to be one of the best sports expansions of all time, they sit at 2nd
    - KC, Columbus, New England and Chivas USA are at the bottom of the profit chart. The *******s make money off of us on suite sales and bundled TV rights deals, friggin' leeches, but add little to the league coffers themselves.

Landon Donovan to Bayern Munich? God I hope not.
How many times do we have to see him fail in Germany? On the other hand, former Galaxy employee Juergen Klinsmann is the coach there so he is fully aware of what Donovan can do, unlike the past scenarios there.

Good news: Chivas got pounded by the Revs worse than Croatia was done by Engerland. Score 4-0. The rich get richer, and the lowly Chivas Goats stay close to our sights.

Yes, the doctor was in the house last weekend. He's a medical doctor, in case you didn't know.

His teammate could have used his help last weekend during the game...in the 4th minute, his teammate Fabian Espindola scored a goal that was called back for being offside (it wasn't actually but such is the crap known as MLS referees). Before he had a chance to notice the flag was up, he ran and did a flip in the air, coming down awkwardly on his foot and broke the ankle. Done for the season. Ha ha! Schaedenfreude is all I've got left.

"The Good Doctor" as the presenter on the Saturday afternoon tv programme over here called him every single time he scored. Got a bit boring by his 40th goal of the season in the tinpot Scottish league...

Reminds me of the US National Team forward Brian Ching. He happens to be the first USMNT player from the state of Hawaii.

Our US commentators, who are quite bad, tend to say every time he touches it something like:
"Ching with the ball...he's from Hawaii, you know." EVERYTIME! I would put up with it if he could score occasionally.

    A winnable game...lost.

    KC 2 - 0 LA G's

Galaxy were toothless as usual. Poor midfield play allowed a good strike from distance for one, and poor defending and goalkeeping allowed a simple shot to dribble in. Even with Beckham, Lewis and Donovan back in the midfield, the middle was like one of the United States' great interstate highways in the heartland: People can get where they need to go unfettered by traffic.

    BOOOO

Do you guys get the Trump show where he tries to identify if you are an idit or not, and then when he decides you are, he says "You're Fired!"? I never watch it but I found this a little amusing nonetheless.

"You're team is valued at $100,000,000, but you're sitting in last place and haven't won a game in three, yes THREE months. I think that selling bacon-wrapped hot dogs is a brilliant idea, and I like the hot soccer moms who attend the games, but you just aren't cutting it on the field. Boys, you're all fired!"

Not that it matters, but there is a game next week.

Hey, have any of you ever seen a bacon wrapped hot dog? It's an LA specialty. Again, I don't eat them, but everyoen says they are great, sort of the LA equivalent of the late night drunken doner kabab.

Miniature versions have been doing the rounds here for years, especially around Christmas time when advertised by Celebrity Chav of the year 2000,01,02,03,04,05,06,07,08 Kerry Katona on Iceland. They are brought out for people that are too farking lazy/inept to stuff a Turkey's neck with Sausagemeat.

According to the papers here Beckham was roundly booed by the fans at that game. I see you're teaching them all the Watford way out there Agent Fitz!

No it's isn't - it's a Danish speciality obviously stolen by the Los Angelinos. It's been here since before there were white people in America. It probably was introduced to the Americas when the vikings (of Danish blood of course) discovered the new world. So stop stealing other people's ideas and inventions.

Is it true the same 'word' was used alot and aimed in Beckham's direction? The papers over here have reported he was booooooed by the Galaxy fans last match.

No, not yet. But at this rate it willl happen. He has been a non-factor which for how much of our salary cap he absorbs is not an option. He must produce, like Donovan does.

Isaac thinks we might win, see below. I am less optimistic. I think there is a statistical chance we could win, but that it's not a very big one.

By the sounds of things, we defend as badly as each other.

    Trade ?

  26. Fitz

G's defenders are far worse. You wouldn't want any of ours. I suppose a player like Donovan would do very well on WFC. Beckham is just **** right now. He wouldn't help. Chris Klein would be good on WFC.

Which of the Hornet midfielders can play a bit of defence? Galaxy need a 2-way middie badly. The Galaxy midfield is like the Autobahn to the goal. Smith would fit in here.

G's have no keeper at all. Simply dreadful.

You can have Lee, compared to the filth that keep goal over there his occasional blooper will be accepted as a blip amongst the Galaxy faithful.

Al Bangura can go to you, basically a Sierra Leoneon rent boy who will sit on the back 4 sit in front of the back 4 and kick anybody who dares attack, he'll then proceed to kick the ball as far in the air as possible.

    Enjoy.

God, Lee would be a dream come true.
How low my standards have fallen...

I watched some Champions League games today and I honestly was bewildered at what they were doing. Far beyond my comprehension.

Considering Lee should be starting for us I think we'll be holding on to him for now thanks. If you want you could have:

    Poom
    Bromby
    Francis
    Eustace
    McAnuff
    Williamson
    Hoskins
    Mariappa

It's sad. There was a time that if I saw a Watford player in the street I would freeze dumbfounded in awe. Now I'm not sure I'd brake if those above were crossing the road.

Amen brother. I keep needing to tell myself it's not the players, it's the management that brought them in that's the problem. Sort of a "hate the game, not the player" thing.

  31. Y&P

    Y&P Squad Player

In our case it most certainly is the players. People like Doyley, maybe not the best player, but one with the club at heart who always puts in his best and is always moving forward as a player, be it by improving his attacking or being the only one in our back line with a defensive head, are a dying breed.

Of the players who started last night it seems that its only Lloyd, Demerit, O'Toole and Priskin who really have the club at heart.

I suppose its a wholesale problem in football now, due to the revolving door policy of both players and coaches, but it really is gutting when just a few years ago you were watching a cohesive team who looked like they'd die for each other.

I have no qualms about Aidy or the board. I would have changed it at half time differently last night, but he was forced into a corner with the injury of our best player. And the board have done only fantastic things for the club.

    My problem is with football.
