Yep we’ve won and I’m going to sound horribly negative but I do not think Sanchez Flores is the man to keep us up this season. I just cannot see QSF ever being bold enough to set us up to win the amount of games we need to, given the poor start to the season. Even today, Norwich were the better side, two shots on target and two goals. That won’t happen every week. It’s a win and it feels bloody good to not have your weekend ruined, especially when you’ve played early now we can just sit back and enjoy results tomorrow and Sunday but I just can’t shake the feeling this is a false dawn. Maybe getting that first win out the way will help, maybe getting Deeney, Cleverley and Sarr back after the international break will help but all I’ve really gathered from tonight is that Norwich are more doomed than us. Bloody glad to have won though.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ha, Deulofeu stopping his Sky interview to savour the Watford fans singing his song. Almost seemed emotional.
Last win was over a relegated team. This is another. Doesn't disguise the fact that for parts of the match we played poorly. Passes are not connecting a lot of the time. When they do we look sharp. We need a real target man. Gray is woeful. Great to see Capoue back. Made his interceptions and a block and links everything. Doucoure and Delofeu need to be less selfish with the ball. Dawson is blossoming in a three. And a mention to Hughes and Janmaat who worked their socks off. We need more of that.
A wins a win, and the confidence we have gained from tonight will be immense. We should have beaten Sheffield, we deserved the three points at Spurs we got a good point against Bournemouth, and we won tonight. Things are very definately on an upwards trend. Heres to a happy weekend.
How can you be negative? WE ACTUALLY WON A GAME OF FOOTBALL It's a marathon but I'll enjoy the sprints when we get them!
All about the result tonight. Beat Burnley and things look salvageable. As it stands, things are less embarrassing.
Dawson was immense tonight, Doucoure didn’t stop running and Capoue made such a difference. Hughes and Gray too lightweight again. Great win and well done to all who travelled
Probably got away with having the man sent off as Norwich were poor in attack despite the best efforts of Hernandez . Took our chances well and rode out the pressure pretty comfortably in hindsight ! Nice to get a win at last!
Every ball Foster kicked long was won by Norwich and they just came back at us. We desperately need Deeney if QSF is going to have us going long from the back. Before anyone reminds me yes I know Deeney is slow doesn't move etc but we do retain the ball much better with him on the pitch, and Del and Pereyra will pick up a lot more 2nd balls. I think once he's back we'll start to see an improvement in the attack. Cleverley still to come back and he will add a lot with his energy and movement. With the players available tonight I think QSF got it just about right. Lets pray in January we spend what's necessary on centre backs and full backs.
Such a weird game, it was like we were given a team to play that we couldn’t possibly lose against but we did our best to. Norwich are ******* terrible, the only question is are there two other teams that are nearly as terrible?
Get in. I still believe we can do it. If we manage to beat Burnley we are right back in with a shout of getting out of this.

It wasn’t pretty but job done, lucky Norwich don’t have that quality in final third. Was plenty of times we were so negative going forward but that was what the game plan was get the win and a bit of confidence, small steps. With players to come back after international break and playing teams on a bad run may help us. Grind out wins like that against burnley and saints then go from there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Easy easy easy. After that early goal we just coasted to victory. Foster was great Kabasele has been brilliant recently in a back 3 but had a stinker tonight. Dawson strong with Cathcart Holebas was perfect Doucoure did well Gray scored. With a flukey deflected back heel. GD excellent in patches. I want him angrier. Hope Pererya is ok Good to Troy back Etienne Capoue was the difference tonight. Hes such a monster in there that he allows others like Hughes and Doucoure a bit of breathing space. If he stays fit we'll stay up.
Yeah. It’s a weird training ground routine to have, but the failing is often from the attacker not anticipating/caring where the header lands, rather than the first ball forward.
So nice to see them win at last. Let's hope this is the start of a turn-around and we can take this momentum into the Burnley game. (Shame it's not next week really.) If those snakey Everton gits win tomorrow we'll stay 18th.
Judging by the face of QSF at the end though, it looked as if he's earnt himself a life-line, rightly or wrongly. Praying we can build our confidence on this win and perhaps try and play a more attacking style of football. I mean, we looked far better as a team when we kept it out of our own half and tried to attack.... It was just that it was evident that the team were not told to do that (for whatever reason!!); so as a result it was once again, just a matter of having to rely on our woeful defence where we looked absolutely abysmal and as a whole meant our performance looked really poor. Deeney and Capoue back and not too long to wait for that season-defining transfer window... At least we do have some positives for once!
We took our chances. Delefeou made the difference and a really good finish by Gray. Norwich were really poor. It gives us hope, we will need to improve if we are going to pick up more wins, but it’s a start. Silly foul by Kabasele. The biggest win since our promotion. The constant injuries are a real concern, hopefully Pereyra is OK. I think QSF has done Ok since he hasn’t come in. We do have quite a few players who aren’t good enough, and that’s not his fault
Makes me laugh when Gray who is a goalscorer scores the vital second goal and still gets abuse on here post game. He don't deserve it tonight. Hope he and Deeney play as a pair once Deeney is fit.
A WIN! I'm into the Pond; followed by a couple of bottles of Bailey's and then into the car with yellow flags flying out the windows and whistles blowing.
Pukki, despite his cracking start to the season, looked even more calamitous than Gray out there. He looks well and truly spent.
Heard it on 3CR but had the awesome shout box to keep me entertained. Great banter again and thank you everyone who took part. Nice to be more positive overall due to the result. As for the game, what a great start, twice now this season we have done this, tonight and away at Spuds. Great finish from Delafoo. After that it was business as usual as Norwich grew in confidence and dominated possession. Credit as we kept Pukki quiet all game really, don't really remember him having a serious chance all game. We restricted them to half chances, and Foster was called into action a few times but nothing to really worry us. What was worrying though was yet ANOTHER injury. This time Preyera going down midway though first half. Hope it isn't too serious and he has got two weeks break to try and recover. The overall fitness of the squad is being tested to limit to early in the season but we all know why. Kabs went too second half but was O.K, Delafoo took a ball to the bonce but thankfully shrugged it off. We cannot continue to have this happen, sooner or later we are going to have to wrap the players in cotton wool. Second half was backs to the walls... well apart from a utter fluke goal from the forum scape goat Gray. Was it intentional? Not sure, but the backheel paid off via a deflection and for once, we took a comfortable lead in a game. We looked solid at the back, then... Kabs see's red mist again. People are saying both yellows were harsh, maybe we can appeal it. but overall he needs to keep his head when going in. We were two nil ahead in a must win game, and for the last 30 odd mins we had to see it out with ten men. But, see it out we did. Dawson almost scored too, and speaking of him, Cathcart and Dawson seem to be really forming a good partnership in the back three. Holebas was solid and did his job, Mapps came on, didn't do much wrong either. Gray's finishing is still overall very poor. He had a real chance to make it 3-0 late on and scooped it over the bar. His positioning was not right and he sliced it horribly. Deeney did travel but did not make an appearance, might see him against Burnley at some point? QSF may of just saved his neck for two more weeks, but I have to finish with this. We won, Deeney shared an embrace with QSF at fulltime and the relief to finally win a game of football in the Premier League can not be understated. However, it was a very poor Norwich side, who are just as bad as us in footballing terms and injuries, we will go against much more attacking sides after this and we need to start as well as we did tonight, keep the pressure high and get at them from the off. Kabs red card soured the night a little, but to win, that weight must be a huge lift from the player's minds. We have two weeks now. Two weeks to hopefully sort some of these injuries out, get the shape set and ready for the Ginger Winger when Boring Burnley come to town. Have a great night's sleep fellow hornets/hornettas. Let's hope Snake does us a favour tomorrow and keeps us 18th by beating Saints.
