Why on earth have 3 full backs on the bench? Absolute madness. Might as well have 2 goalkeepers on there for all it’s worth. Aside from that, decent line up.
Figging hell. Just emerged from an excellent matinee to see a goal alert on my phone. That didn't take long. Nandos haters will be pleased that we've opted for a trip to China town instead.
Fair play we’ve not caved in (yet). Problem is we have the potency of a 93 year old man on hormone reducing pills.
Done for. Absolutely done for. Quique needs to be binned and we bring in somebody with an eye on next season in the Championship.
Are we out of the title race yet? 26pts is one hell of a deficit to make up but if anyone can do it, no one can.
Meh, considering most on here were expecting us to lose by 4 or so I think most of the whining on the shoutbox was very ott. What I'm most annoyed about is that when VAR finally works in our favour it's at a moment that does very little to actually help us.
Norwich are easily the worse side. In fact they are the worse side i've seen in 3 years at this level.
Hats off to Deulofeu who was battling like he was trying to single handily save us. The sort of player who people probably speak about as lazy or doesn’t care. Him and Doucoure our only quality players right now.
Gray is not a target man. Need Capoue and Cleverley back as soon as possible in midfield. A few signs of encouragement at the end of the first half with crisp passing. Not enough movement off the ball still. Masina a very good game and should retain his place. Disappointing from Flores at 2-0 down to not bring on Success almost playing for a defeat. That is not the message players or fans want to see. Vital to win next week and use the international break to get some of the injured back and build some positive frames of mind. Conceded and the heads went down almost immediately. And the poor pre season is surely to blame for yet another injury.
Woeful again, but that's a given now any time we step on a football pitch. We are down. Anyone who doesn't accept that has lost the plot at this point. We have a dreadful manager, employed by a woefully incompetent board, and a team full of Championship players and players who don't want to be here. It's over.
2-1 loss against a top 4 side. Respectable. But I can't remember a team without a win this long into the season and staying up. That is the concern.
Didn’t think we were too bad, and played with a decent level of intensity and spirit. The absence of a decent centre forward is plainly obvious to see. I can’t fault the commitment. Chelsea are very good to be fair. We have a mountain to climb, but it’s possible if we play at that level.
I mean, generally. Expect to lose at home to Liverpool or Citeh. Not Chelsea. We need to be taking points from home games.
Horrible football today from him. Gray had 2 defenders on him all game. All he had to do was make some runs down the left and pull one of them over but he just strolled around. Didn't run back with any purpose when they broke either. Needs to do more that bloke.
I dont think it is ott in the current situation tbh. We have to be better than this half and half non identity side QSF has inherited/created. We had a reasonable spell at the end of each half. But we're crap. Total crap. We put men forward but dont press / tackle. We defend in numbers but dont mark up or track runs. Doucoure was poo again after picking up a bit. The Deulofeu that finished that match angry needs to play 90 minutes for once. Chalobah is gone. A passenger. I see nothing in him to suggest premier league footballer. I think we'll prob see hes not good enough for the championship next year. Must beat Norwich.
Hard to be too upset given the final score line. But let's not gloss over the obvious. Chelsea fully deserved it, were much better as an attacking unit and defended well when we did attempt to get forward. Delafoo played well, had our best chance first half with a fierce shot, and won a very debatable penalty and scored the consolation. Andre' Gray continues to be absolutely woeful. He got charged down a few times but overall his play is poor and is not a lone striker. Foster was superb today. His keeping was top class and kept the score respectable, and so nearly got a leveller right at the end too. Great night's work from him despite the loss. Their second goal... was atrocious defending. QSF sets us up to be solid and we defended that like headless chickens. To be fair though, overall we gave it a good go tonight despite all the odds against us. There is still heart there somewhere, and some of it was shown tonight, as the crowd was lifted after the penalty. Did we deserve to win? No, but we almost sneeked a point. All I can say is thank god some of those results earlier turned around. With Norwich and Southampton both losing, we are still in touch at least. Weather was abysmal again, but next week it's Norwich. A must win? Yes. A definite representation of the "six pointer" match. Lose that, and we are as good as down. Fans booing QSF subs towards the end when Kiko came on seemed either warranted or a bit OTT, but I wasn't there to judge. Big thumbs up to the Shout Box tonight, entertaining as usual.
Oh Watford fans, you never fail to disappoint. "Whining" is "OTT" when we haven't won in 14 league games and have 5 points at the bottom of the league. Brilliant.
Is there any point in Andre Gray? Especially in our current formation. He's not a lone striker. He won not a single ball played up to him as far as I can see. He had a chance to score where he should've dinked it right first and shot but instead blasted it to a defender with a first time shot that would clearly be blocked. Literally has no composure in front of goal. Whatever pace he had has gone as he was outdone by every defender today. No hold up play whatsoever. Offers literally nothing. We're better off playing extra midfielders. People question what Troy offers. A hell of a lot more than this guy. Need Troy back in asap.
If you believe it's over does that mean we will no longer require your views on this forum for the rest of the season?
