Maybe the first outing of the season for my 'Big Coat'. I think that will be the highlight of the day for me.
So I returned to the fold of season ticket holders this season after a 15 year absence. Amazing timing. The only two home games I've actually been able to go to so far have been Brighton and Bournemouth so the investment has truly been an unqualified success so far. Now I find myself wishing that I had an excuse not to go tomorrow. The only bit I'm looking forward to is the pre-match coffee and toastie with my sister. Sorry to be negative but I really can't see anything but a miserable evening ahead. And then I have to trek over to Thorpe Park to pick up older daughter. From one "Fright Night" to another, then.... Enjoy "Mary Poppins" Moog - love a musical myself - went to see "Blood Brothers" recently which was really good; looking to get tickets to "Dear Evan Hansen" as a Christmas treat for my younger daughter, who wants to see it, but have no clue what it is. Reckon Mary Poppins will be fab.
Im off to do a poo. This is infinitely more interesting than the showing we will put in at the weekend. 19/20 the season that never started.
The new StuBoy needs to be in position (closely adjacent to some porcelain) by 19.10 tomorrow at the latest.
I make that three Fright Nights, you missed the journey from Watford to Thorpe Park, on a cold, wet, dark, Saturday, Bon Fire night! lets hope its two with the Journey and Thorp park being the frights! and WFC being a delight!
Star Wars is almost as tedious as Harry Potter, but as a gastronaut I have to say I'm really fond of Nando's
Nandos is ideal if you are a teenager on a first date. For grown ups it is rubbish. Assume they use prepubescent chickens as they are the skinniest I have ever seen. One visit was enough for me, never to be repeated. We have no hope against Chelsea tomorrow but sooner or later we are going to have to amaze ourselves. Again. Losing 8-0 was amazing. Musical theatre is appalling, a play can be great, live music can be great, in every instance musicals do both badly. Moog I am disappointed in you and I suspect you will be too come tomorrow evening.
My house is a hive of musical theatricals. We're all keen amdramers and musical tunes pour out of every Alexa. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, Nandos, Wendys (USA), Pizza Hut or road side burger van? Winner: Road side BV. Cannot beat plastic cups, knives forks and the smell of grease as you wait for a burger that takes 30 seconds to slap in a bun.
Do other teams' fora go 'off piste' as much as us? This is the 20th post in a row that isn't specifically about today's match. Simply an observation ...
The new badge winner.... To be announced after today’s game so it’s buried under the news of another home defeat. The Watford Hornet Scream ...
In one or two respects this is a good game for us. Chelsea play open and concede lots of goals. We have therefore at least some hope of a goal. They also score lots, but over the last three games we have the meanest defence in the League. This all points to the chance of a home win. What doesn’t point to a win is that they are clearly massively better than us. COYH.
if I had to chose Watford win would make a huge difference to our season and the years ahead! a World Cup win would’t exactly help WFC
As a teenager hoping for a first date, I pretty much agree with what you say about musicals, if you mean Lloyd Webber, Les Mis and other modern musicals. Not true of the Fred 'n Ginger musicals of the 30s, Fiddler on the Roof and above all, West Side Story.
I am afraid as previews go it’s a thumb down form me (but don’t know how to add a thumbs down emoji) no talk of the formation Mary Poppins may play, who is their attacking threat, will it be Mary up front flanked by the 2 kids , I’m guessing Bert will be playing the sweeper role who is In goal my prediction Watford 0 Mary Poppins 4 And what is this Nando’s you talk about
I’m taking one for the team , I am pumping my FF team full of Chelsea goal keeper and defenders - thank me when we stuff them 8 nil
